Video card drivers
ok its not an upgrade, but i JUST cleaned my PC of my ATI drivers (uninstalled them, then used a utility to wipe whatevers left off) THEN i overclocked my Video card Core and memory by about 20mhz each. not too much, but enough to get a bonus with no graphical problems (ATI Tray Tools did this, it makes sure it wont cause problems)
then i played oblivion.
Original FPS: 18-25 FPS
FPS after: 60-75 FPS
FPS after my gleeful spending of the extra FPS by turning stuff up: 40 FPS
so i thought i'd share with you all my free video card upgrade, its an old 9800pro, and oblivion just looked like * on it. now it looks decent and has a good FPS.

give it a shot, I installed the latest DHzer0point Drivers, which are optimized ATI drivers. (they also have nVidia drivers i saw, just click on any of the DHzer0point links and you are brought to a page with drivers, the lines of green downloads are nVidia.)
so here it is, a boost to that old video card. i want to try some games that worked well on my card (like UT2k4) and see what the FPS are now... or hell so i dont have to install that, im going to see what HL2 looks like now.
