understandable
you know, i get it. when i was in my early teens i didnt pay much attention to news. i still dont by way of tv, but news through the internet is easy to come by. being as im a broadcasting major, mass media is a big thing for me, so news is becoming more and more important. not so much the content, but they way in which it is presented.
anyway, my point is that i get why most users arent responding to topics in here, its bc you dont think it affects you or, you jsut dont care. i know how you feel and i cant blame you.
perhaps if others post issues that are close to their heart for whatever reason it will spark interest. at the very least you can say why you dont like the news in here lol. ill be the first to say the news makes the world very pessimistic.
thoughts anyone? (im pulling at straws here)

i cna't remember topics but an old story of a bay area mother who dumped 3 of her kids in the bay area water. she just through them off. one i think was a 6 year old, 3 year old, and an infant.

I never watch the news on t.v. or read the paper. Most news I get is through the radio or online. Maybe there isn't much response to your posts is simply people here aren't all that interested in this topic. It's real, not a game. JMO

Another thing is, people don't come here for the news, they come to get away from the real world. I think that's the main reason, of course whenever there's a new topic here I check it out naturally.

the real world is too messed up..but the think is the news is censored even in america cuz i seen some messed up pics from regions around the world that never get any attention,even in the hot spots like Iraq and Palastine you never get to hear the full story

It seems news are quite the same all over the world then... I´ve lost my interest in them, hearing always the same things, and the lies that the media broadcast.
And they don´t give proper attention to what´s important... Hell, they put first in the news who was dismissed from the Big Brother reality show, before of one from an aerial accident

Its ironic i guess becuase im a broadcasting major.
the usual mindset for those in the media is "if it bleeds it leads" which is sad. the only thing above that is sex.
personally i find news from the internet far more diverse. no fancy graphics flying around the screen, no stupid dicussions from people that want their 15 min of fame, just content.

That´s a true thing, and it´s more free, you can just check out what you want and ignore the rest. Pretty much like newspapers, and in my opinion it´s better.
And it´s a sad thing too, violence and tragedy sell. I´m pretty mad at that.
