| Unbalanced Gameplay in FF9?

Unbalanced Gameplay in FF9?
i just started playing FF9 two days ago using a ps1 emulator i notice some unbalancing between the monsters and the main characters.......
in FF9 its painfully easy to lvl up n gain gils(compare with FF7 if u will)
overly easy to ko enemies even in a low lvl(some boss could b kill in 4-5 moves in the early stages)
items n weapons r too cheap and too easy to obtain.....(characters could deal 1000+ dmg at lvl 15 with the help of weapons)
b4 FF9 i did played FF7,8,X,X-2 and its way more balanced than FF9
agree or disagree?

I agree that its easy to level up but its still a good game with a great story
I've played a lot of ff games and 9 is my fourth favourite
my top three are: 1st ff7 2nd ff 13 3rd ff 10

You’ve been playing it for two days. Give it more time and compare after you actually complete the game.

Are you kidding me? FF7 is soooooooo much easier than FF9. In FF7, you go to like level 80s at minimum to finish the game, inFF9, it's hard to even go after 60.
And for all you people who just power level, after 70, your HP increases will be only 1.
Hey, i'll even give you credit if you breeze by beatrix without loosing once.
FF7 enemies can't 1 hit you...like...ever...
FF9 has one of the hardest bosses in teh series, 7? The last boss was a joke with materia like 4x cut and quadra magic.

the level you end with doesnt really mean anything since its specific to the game
but yes
for all those reasons and more 7 was way easier than 9
@the first post
if what you said is true that they deal 1000+ damage then you cant compare it to FF7 it is a different game not the same enemies characters or health that and two days?
how far into the game ARE you?XD
of course thee start is easy XD

The level point was addressing his argument that it's "painfully easy" to level up.
In FF7 you start at level 6 and get to level 7 in 20 seconds.
In FF9 you start at level 1 and can't even get a single exp point until about an hour into the game.

In ff8 it was probably easier to level up as you only need 1000 exp each level.

I agree wholly with Lucky, FF9 is by no means unbalanced or easy.

I dont know what version of the game you're playing but when i did it, it took serious grinding to get levels

Read arc's point, of course the first couple of bosses are easy, however if you kill them in 4-5 moves you miss stuff. Also most of the first bosses are event bosses. I'd like to see you fight Gizamaluke and say he was easy.

Again I've never seen this, I think I was lv 20 before i got near 1k+ damage

At level 15 your level 2 elemental spells with boost will deal over 1000; too bad none of your characters can even take 900 at that point; good luck with beatrix and try not to make too much of a mess with your corpses.

I'd say 7 was way easier than 9.
Especially because there were so many ways to cheat, even early on in the game...
As for 9,
I actually had a pretty tough time of it, my first runthrough.
But overall, I'd say it was a lot more balanced than 7.

Has it ever occured to you that I may be passionate about Final fantasy (this being a fansite)? Ok maybe it has more to do with people trying to present an arguement with flawed logic...

Ok...is there any unbalanced gameplay?
Hmm...I don't think It's like FF7 since you can meet level 60 grand dragons in the first disk (4000+ damage per attack)...but I guess that's "unbalanced".
But The challangeing part is actually stealing from bosses. In FF7, you can't steal from them...which is a shame since that make the game into more of an "all out attack" thingy (since bosses can't hit 9999 on you and you can actually have 9999hp).
