ummm need some help

first of my ff8 config will not let me configer to my xbox 360 pad oh and im obvisley using ff8 for pc so does anyone know how to configer xbox 360 pad to ff8 using analog and if so please tall me. and another thing is there any way to disable the sound i know it sounds stupid but i like my music that i have on my pc so can anyone help me Sad oh yeah and i dont have a manual
