True Reflections
I looked in the mirror one day,
And oh how it lied to me,
It showed me,
A seemingly happy girl,
Why was she smileing,
There was nothing in her world,
To smile about,
The smile faded in the mirror,
Yet forced itself back,
Her eyes were calm and peaceful,
Although there was nothing,
Calm and peaceful about her life,
A tear strolled down her cheek,
And then another,
She closed her eyes,
And then opened them again,
Her calm and peacefulness restored,
Why was the mirror lieing to me?
Why was I lieing to myself to make others happy?
Suddenly the girl in the mirror,
Broke down,
She fell to her knees,
And started crying,
Hugging her knees,
Talking to herself,
Trying to calm herself down,
She looked back into the mirror,
This is my true reflection.
