no, i honestly found the other 3 fights harder. Just using the Nul Spells reduce damage dramatically. You only need to be careful about ultima.

i agree. It's so darn easy because i completed the celestial sidequest except Kimahri's. Dam, that butterfly thing is beyond frusfration. Anw, i made a huge mistake when i overwrite my saved game (before i completed the celestial weapons) so the final few bosses is like a piece of cake. I remember killing Seymour (inside sin) in around 3 turns. And the final boss...darn easy too. Hahaha~
But those monster arena are a different story altogether~

hardest boss must be Pancea because of his 13 mil hp and his arms who has 550000 hp. If that wasn't enough only the celestial weapons can do max damage

I would say Seymour at Mt. Gagazet, however I knew it was coming. It was pretty obvious in FFX that whenever you had a 'route' or long walking path, at the end there would be a fight. Mt. Gagazet was a loooong path.Hence, harder boss fight. The save sphere was located in such a cerebral position too. I beat him on my first go too, using Haste on Yuna.
I thought the hardest fight in the game was honestly the fight where Kimari was used. Only because I hadn't used him the whole game and so he was weak XD It was annoying lol

Yunalesca was the hardest boss for me though. Since you had just beaten a boss, and couldn't go back to level up (I think)

Seymour was a definite surprise on Mt. Gagazet. It forced me to grind a bit. Nothing else did. I found Seymour's last form disappointing in difficulty.

If we're not counting the absurdly difficult monsters in the arena *counterattack with ultima that does 15k to all party members and autoregen of 15k*

I made sure every character stepped in every combat to do something since exp was not 'divided' amongst the party, so all my characters were equally powerful throughout the game. I had trouble with that big dragon thing... forget what it was called... and I think it was right before a seymour fight... And the first time I fought seymour when he doublecasts and summons anima... that was difficult. Other than that the game was a breeze, but I'm a powerleveler, second I got the airship I went to omega ruins and saved after each battle.

-edit- The fight with seymour when he had that little thing on him that petrified you and shattered you outside the b city was difficult too, had to powerlevel there a little bit.

The most difficult ones are definitely the ones in the monster arena, especially that water bubble thing... I can't remember its name, though it was rather annoying. Those monsters were the ones I had difficulties with, other than that the game was easy, I also had all my characters equally powerful through the entire game, I hate leaving anyone behind. The system made the battles easy overall; you can switch characters and there is no rush you can wait forever to play your next turn. I always used Haste/ Hastega and I always had my aeons overdrives.

That's what I did.

And speaking of Omega; it and Ultima were major disappointments in this game.
But certainly not as disappointing as New Yevon.

massively man, same here.. its the best way to do it.. I power levelled as soon as i found the joint, and didnt leave 'till everyones grids were finished (cept for goin back to besaid to restock on spheres) and my jesus, i have never been such a zombie afterwards.. ever played for 4-5 days and nights straight? i thought i was gonna have a heart attack by the end of it.. lucky the awesome powers of the final fantasy god kept me alove, enough to go and smash twelve in the same manner.

Oh, and yeah, seymour at gagazet. for sure.

Mad I have beaten FFX like 7 times and i cannot for the life of me figure out who you guys are talking about, and I could've sworn Nemesis was supposed to be the hardest creature in the entire game...
