yeah, we have a lot of parks around here. When the great depression hit, one of the things our government did to make jobs was to put people to work in planting trees and setting up parks across america. to do that, we needed a lot of land (which we have) in good growing areas. And the mid-west was perfect. So we get a loooot of giant parks around here. ^^

We have a large park area with a river. Built as part of a project after WW1. Which is pretty nice actually.
But then, a short walk away there is our "forest" with different parts marked out on a pedestal... Despite the fact the "forest" is around the same size as my bedroom. xD
It is kinda lame. xD
Though seriously if Im out walking around in the night to ASDA with the pedo/rapist/murderer/psycho of questionable sanity vampy....who do I have to be afraid of? XD

I wouldn't call it an ornamental garden, no. XD Not really there for aesthetics.
This is just a small piece of what WAS a forest, untouched and is still called the forest. Far from being nice to look at. I don't know why. My whole point was what you are saying. It isn't really much of a a forest. Which is why I used quotation marks. XD

That park is so pretty...better than anything we have around here...but yeah that "forest" is pretty lame...the map tries to make it look all good and stuff too...cracked me up XD
