The same thing I told him about Final Fantasy XII... he finished them all in 9 hours, it's not really good...... taking time to know everything and enjoy it in the game is far way better

Maybe cuz I can't believe he finished XII with 9 hours... I am 45 hours and still in the middle of it.
But I am not sure about XI cuz I didn't finish it, I spent most of the time lvling them up...

No you cant play it offline and I do think hes making it up. You cant beat XI in 9 hours and not at lvl 12 no way. Unless you find some really nice high lvl people willing to take you through all the quests...but I doubt that.
