In a world with the technology of the olden times, a Drow magician claimed to have a way to help humanity. The magician said to the king of Intercia that if he would give him all his gold then he would help humanity. Having a kind heart, the king thought it wise to take the magician up on his offer. When the magician said the magic words that were uncomprehensable to the human ear, the King turned from his old, deformed form, to a galiant and young form. The king went out to see his people's happiness, but to his suprise most of them had become disformed, some growing a second face, and others just plain ugly. After much thought philosiphers determined that mankind now had become on the outside who they were on the inside. Hearing this information and also being affected by the spell many kingdoms declared war on Intercia, only Opertuna and Brightvale stayed allies with Intercia.

Bio(optional) : Born in a decent family, his life is contented by several friends similar to him, a father who is alway working at the family forge, a mother who runs an Inn, and a sister who helps his mother. He has practiced swordsmanship since he was five, and fears for others, even if he dislikes them. He created his blade at his father's forge himself out of a rare metal called Sarium, which cost his father several weeks sallary. When the spell was cast, he was the only person to stay the same in his family.

OOC:(The gender hidden thing is only if you hide who you truely are inside as I do, but Voids can become normal once again, and I might during the story) Shroud is sent on a mission to Intercia to find out their army's strength. Shroud slowly begins to walk to the west.
Daniel pumps the belows at his forge and coninues to twist the steel, the thoughts of the spell heavy on his mind. His father turned into a two face, his mother into a beautiful, and his sister into a void. None of them worked anymore as they were trying to get the king to lift the spell any way possible, so Daniel himself had to work the forge and run the Inn during the day.
Late in the afternoon, Daniel watched as knights rode by on their horses, ready for battle. The war had taken its toll on his supply of metals since the army was always needing new weapons, but the income was well worth it. He set the steel he was working on down, and began to hammer it with precision only acquired through years of work.
Shroud arives at the gates of Intercia and says,"Brightvale has sent Shroud here to check on your army. Shroud must be allowed entrance."
The city gates open and shroud walks in.
Shroud checks on the army but while checking on it Shroud drops one of Shroud's hidden gunblades and it chips. "Shroud needs to use your forge, where might it be?",asks Shroud. One particularly large two-faced soldier points towards a place with steam rising from the top. "Shroud thanks you",says Shroud. Shroud walks towards the forge and knocks on the door.
"Sure. Let me have a look at it,"Daniel replies, taking the gunblade. He walked over to his desk to examine it. It was just a small chip, just on the outside, so he didn't need any special tools. Just time,"I can have it fixed in an hour. If you want you can wait here."
"Shroud will wait here. Shroud does not like to be too far away from Shroud's weapons",says Shroud.
A deformed soldier walks up to Shroud.
"We are ready for inspection",says the soldier.
"Bring the soldiers to Shroud, Shroud has a weapon in repair and does not wish to part from it",says Shroud.
"Sir, Yes, Sir! Or Ma'am, I can't tell because you are a Void",says the soldier. "Voids are wierd",says the soldier under his breath as he walks off.
The soldier returns with more soldiers.
"These soldiers will do excelently, Shroud is pleased",says Shroud,"Get Shroud an estimate of your numbers and come back."
Shroud steps into the forge to watch Daniel work.
Daniel works at fixing the weapon without distraction, burning himself once with the furnace, but he just puts a cloth around the burn and continues working. After an hour has passed, he picks up the cooled gunblade to inspect it. He chisels off some edges, and hands it back to Shroud.
"Good as new. It's on the house since it was such an easy job,"Daniel walks over to the main room and sits down at a desk for the Inn,"Feel free to come back if ya need anything else, our door's always open."
"Shroud thanks you. Shroud will repay your generousity one day, even if you ask Shroud not to",says Shroud.
"Shroud, Sir, er, Ma'am, er, void, I have tallied our numbers",says the same distorted soldier as before.
"Shroud wishes to know, how many soldiers do you have?",asks Shroud.
"We have 99,999 soldiers, Shroud",says the distorted soldier,"That is the problem, we need one more brave soul to step up or according to our own law we will have to surrender."
"Where would you get one more soldier?",asks Shroud to noone in particular.
"You could try holding a tournament to find the strongest man to become a soldier,"Daniel said, hearing the question," Most of the men here will gladly become a soldier, but this way you can find the best one."
Shroud seems angered by something that Daniel said but shakes it off. "How about Shroud holds a tournament in which the strongest person, male or female, will arise. All who are not crippled and can hold a weapon must enter. The elderly are excused from it however",says Shroud, putting more emotion on the "or female" part.
"sorry if I upset you, shroud," Daniel replies, apologizing sincerely, "Actually, what i meant by man was person. After all, when scientist's talk about humans, the do sya "man" and include everyone. Anyway, you hold that tournament and I am sure you'll find your last soldier. When will you be holding it?"
OOC(I did actually mean it that way. In my story, the highest ranked soldier is female, plus a few of the stronger characters.)
"Shroud will hold it today. Shroud expects to see you there",says Shroud as he slowly walks to tell the rest of the people of the kingdom.

Bio: Was born by a loving family which, although very poor. His family spent what little money left over for his education, and he also worked at the small hospital in his village to help the price. He is very bright, and his parents taught him to be very kind and gentle to everyone he met. When the spell was cast his village dispersed, most people leaving in fear. His parents were captured, for they like him became beautiful, and those around them became jealous. He sets off to find them.
