actually, according to ancient documents, it's not the first time...
i found this topic about atlantis and the turning axes of the planet, and it stated that many old civilasations talk about a very big flooding, where the sky got weird colours etc etc, some people had to flee to tips of mountains to survive, and the pole circles used to be in a different place
the map of piri reis, a turkish navy admiral, made a realy detailed map with an icefree antartica in 1513, in fact, antartica wasn't discovered till 300 years later...

the fact most people talking about the ozone layer tend to forget is that the planet moves, which pilots and flight engineers learn because the maps they use need to be changed, i believe every year. (my stepdad used to be a flight engineer that's how i know this  )
so there's a big chance it's overhyped, but looking at the smog in some cities, i still believe we need to work a bit better for the envirement
just one thing, don't trees convert the stuff we breath out into oxigen? which is about the same thing as cars exhaust?
or was i asleep during biology again?

problem is cars put out more co2 than trees put out o2.
and really... if (Not really an if anymore but ill say if because im no scientist) the ice caps are melting as a result of green house gases, then not only will most place on the planet be flooded, but hurricanes are going to rip the rest of the planet apart. hurricanes thrive on warm water and the second the trade winds change in the slightest, expect hurricanes to appear in the southern hemisphere as well. the whole climate of the planet will change so even inland wont be safe in most places. thankfully ill be long gone. lol.

but that will indeed become the problem, as nicely shown in "the day after tomorow" when the poles will melt, the salt level will lower which will bring countries that need the water currents as their main temperature controll in a different climate...
the countries that are more dependant on the sun for that wont realy get influenced by it, besides the part where floodings might ocure...

Bigger problem, Tata (Indian car company) has released the worlds cheapest car.
It's only a small 600cc engine but it's still a petrol car and will easily sell millions in that country alone. Can't imagine it being safe though lol.

heard it on the news, it wont be released in europe because it doesn't hold the safety and envirement discriptions that are needed in cars now
but it'll cost about 1600 euros, which is the same as a great bicycle costs XD
