the real me
I lived for everyone but myself,
til the pain became all I felt.
I kept my icey heart and the chill it held,
and watch my hopes and dreams as they fell.
I couldn't care less about the world,
there's to many ppl needing a savior and I'm only a girl.
I tried that route, i gave it a wurl,
and watch more and more of my suffering unfurl.
Ppl dyin
and mothers cryin.
I'm sick of livin, sick of tryin
to fix the lie we all leave in.
While the government sits behind blinds,
Feedin us lines
when we ask for the reasons why
our ppl keep dyin?
All I want is for ppl to see
what underneath the rubble of my shattered dreams
and the streams of tears
I shed over the years,
behind everything
u can find the real me.
