(Long time since I posted )
“RIKU!”
Riku instinctively turned around by Sora’s cry, and dodged the attack of a tentacle just in time. He destroyed it, and headed towards a new one. As he’d turned around, he’d seen that Sora was defending Kairi all he could. Unfortunately Riku himself had been so eager in his try to push the dark force back, he’d come away from them. So now Sora was defending Kairi alone. Riku made two tentacles explode in smoke, as his brain sought out a way for him to return, to aid Sora in defending Kairi. It wasn’t possible for him to just run back. The dark substance, that has now reached their knees was hard to even walk through, like thick snow. And now the tentacles attacked in numbers. Faster and faster they were born from the dark, and their efforts made no difference whatsoever. This was a battle, they were doomed to loose. And Riku knew it.
Hi slashed another, then a second. Destroyed a third one, hit a fourth. Smoked a fifth and defeated a sixth. But they never stopped coming. And then, all of a sudden, he hard what he’d feared he’d hear. The scream of a girl.
“Ahhhhhhhh!”
Riku turned around, and saw Sora holding Kairi’s arm, while still holding some tentacles back.
Kairi had sunk into the dark substance to her hips, and Sora was the only thing preventing her from disappearing into it. Riku forgot everything about his previous hesitation to run to his friends, and accelerated towards them. But his dash was hardly and suddenly interrupted. A tentacle grabbed his leg and pulled him over.
“Riku!” Sora scream, as Riku landed facedown in the substance.
The tentacle disappeared into the dark abyss, and slowly dragged Riku after it. But Riku had no intention of following it. Instead, he hit it with his sword, but it wouldn’t let him go. A wave of darkness covered him and he disappeared, leaving the scream of his friends behind.

(Wasn't that long a part, but here's some more:)
It was the silent whisper of the wind that gently woke him up. He rose from the hard floor and looked around. It was… a big, endlessly dark place. Of course the platform he was standing on, was greatly lit-up from a light source high above him. He looked down. The floor was one big painting. As far as he could see, it was a beautiful, young woman wearing a pink dress.
Riku sat down on the hard, cold floor. What in the world was going on? Riku quickly rose again, as his thoughts crossed his friends.
“Sora!? Kairi!?” He said to the thin air, and then sat down again. “They’re gone… And it’s all my fault! If I hadn’t agreed to embark today, they’d still be home on the island. Then they’d still be safe!”
“Don’t worry…”
Riku looked up and got up again.
“Who’s there?” Riku said as he walked a few steps forward and waited.
“Your friends are safe…”
Riku turned around.
“Yet, you still need to be strong…”
Riku turned around again. He couldn’t believe what was happening.
“You have proven yourself worthy…”
“What is happening? Who are you?” Riku shouted, trying to sound more self-assured.
“Step forward and you shall see…”
A door suddenly appeared before Riku. It was big and white and had a strange glow of light around it. Riku slowly walked toward it and went through it. He came out on another platform, this time the painting was of another woman wearing a yellow dress. Riku stepped forward. Suddenly a little dark creature appeared, stooping, with small antennas and dimmed, yellow eyes. It rose from the seemingly unpleasant position and looked at Riku, getting a greedy look in it’s eyes.
Riku automatically reached out for his tree-sword. He swung it forward, but was highly surprised; It wasn’t his tree-sword. Instead, it was some kind of real weapon, shaped like a big key. It’s handle, shaped just as the small handle on a key, was yellowish. The blade of the key was silver.
Riku gazed at this in many ways beautiful weapon, which for some reason now was in his hands. But Riku’s thoughts quickly turned towards the shadowy creature, which at first had retreated a bit but now ran towards him. Riku swung the key and the shadow-creature was gone.
Again Riku looked at the weapon…
“Keyblade… keyblade…”
Riku looked upwards again.
“So… is this the reason I’m here?”
The voice didn’t reply. Instead it left a great silence behind.
Another door appeared. Riku walked straight through it and entered a new room.
This room was, unlike the others he’d just been in, closed and actually quite nice. To be true, it was a real room. There was a bed in the far corner, a desk and chair right beside it, and wherever Riku looked, the walls was filled with books. The room was so filled with books, Riku though it would take his whole life to read them all.
“What is this place…? Riku said.
Again the voice didn’t return to answer his question. Instead five creatures, just the same as the one he’d just defeated, appeared like out of nowhere. Riku raised the… keyblade?
In just a short while, all five of the creatures was defeated. Riku started to think…
“So is this that keyblade, the voice spoke about?” he thought. “Then why is it me who has it?”
Behind him a door opened. The light that shone out of it was so bright, Riku had to cover his eyes as he turned around.
“This is it.”
Strangely, a hard gust of wind came from the door.
“You have been chosen”
Riku removed his hand covering his face.
“This is it. Your story…”
The light now poured into the room, surrounded him and filled him with warmth.
“It all begins here…”
As the last words of the unspoken voice disappeared, Riku was swallowed by the pure light, and moments later he was gone.
