The new sony controller
well since they finally said that its going to be in november rather than spring for the launch of the PS3 (like we all guessed) sony has decided to redesign the controller.
heres my suggestion: dont mess with perfection:

what so it is smaller than that who cares if your hands are not that big, tiny controllers hurt/irritate my hands, and that image is the perfect size
like Thorlord said, dont mess with perfection
BTW looks strangely like X-Box controller (also to note I like the way X-Box used the double shoulder button [well two are triggers i guess) approach that sony had developed years earlier except they screwed up on the design, very uncomfortable shoulder buttons on 360

i think thor was trying to be funny and claiming that the xbox controller was indeed perfection. lol. why cant we just keep the dual shock controller for ps3? its soooooo vondaful

actually that controller is a possibility, it was just somone Photoshoping the 360 controller.
i could probably do it if the buttions could be purchased, otherwize with my poor art skills it would look like crap buttions, the blue light is also possible with some light mods (currently the light is green) and then just spray paint it black and your done.
but it IS true that the PS3 controller design is being redesigned, from its current banana/boomerang design to something new. who knows.
yah i do love the 360 controller, i personally think it is the best of all the designs. its comfortable and fits the human hand rather than the freakishly tiny Elf hands that the japanese make their controllers for.
whatever design sony goes with, there will undoubtably be a 3rd party controller that will look like the Dual shock controllers.

i agrre with you totally, though there are some benfits to the X-Box controller when you are playing a game which requires both thumbsticks and using the 4 buttons on the pad (ABXY or umm square triangle circle and x)

its not my photoshop skills. i saw it in a blog and thought it was hilarious.
and like i said above, its completely possible to make, you can take apart the 360 controller and remake it to look exactly like that. it would still only work on the 360 but hey it would look different.

cant, i blieve microsoft now owns that patent.
they sued nintendo and sony because both of them used the rumble feature they developed, then they sued microsoft which bought out the company.
i also believe that the controller design is also copywrighted by some other company. it makes you wonder, did sony have ANY say in the design of the controller at all?
