I think the addition of Paine was neccesary and appreciated. Paine added a sense of balance and maturity (like Lulu did in FF-X) as compared to Yuna and Rikku.

Yeah, opinianated but quiet. She reminds me alot of one of my friends. I mean what she wen't through would probably change anyone to what she became. But I like her and she adds alot to the plot and game.

Paine was the only thing that kept me playing FFX-2 for as long as i did. I liked her sarcasm "give me a Y, give me an R, Give me a break"
Tho i still dont know here whole back story other than it has to do with Operation Crimson and the Den of Woe.
I agree with Payne. Paine = female Squall hence the fanficiton i wrote about it. lol

Almost any story with over the top characters need maturity to balance it out. But Paine seemed too weak imo. Would've been better if she was stronger as a warrior. But yeah a good character anyway. I liked her better than Rikku! Gah she was annoying.

personally i didn't like Paine. but when i think about it, it wouldn't have been the game it was. she just added some spice to the game. otherwise it would have been too girly for me. (no offence to all u Paine fans out there) lol
