Coolness, good to see some awesome responses, I see what you're saying about it being angry Erk and i understand some people arent into that but there are many MANY metal bands that arent like that, Killswitch, In flames (which you mentioned) and Shadows fall are prime examples of metal bands who are actually trying to spread a message instead of just venting anger and frustration all the time
i listen to a lot too cant be bothered to list them

because he wrote a song about metal and starred as a character in agame about metal doesnt mean he knows anything about it, not really, i could list random band names too wouldnt make me know anything, and if i was in a game about the future, it wouldnt mean i knew anything about it XD i was just saying cos i havent seen the nickalodeon star play much metal XD

well the fact that he wrote a song about metal, which, might I add is quite accurate, that is also very metal in itself says he knows about metal. and he didnt list random band names if he were listing random band names he would have said slipknot, metallica and dethklok, who aren't metal (if you argue this point i will rape you) but he didnt he listed Maiden, Judas priest, mastodon and motorhead who are pure metal bands.

One thing that really irritates me about a lot of metal lovers is that they always get so snakey about things. Like "Thats not death metal" or something. I couldn't give a flying f**k what category its in, i just like the music.
So does Jack Black obviously lol
I'm the same with the lyrics. It's why Children of Bodom didn't appeal to me at all when I first heard them. Honestly in the song "better off dead" the only thing i heard was "f**k you" clearly XD
