This short story is based on The Legend of Rindale series. (My current work in devo). It takes place 472 years before The Legend of Rindale 2 - The Soulless Hourglass and it's main focal point is Oosi's background (Check the RP section for more info on Oosi)

Prologue


The Higher grimaced, it was a paltry task not worthy of what was thought her standing. "Why do I have to accomplice one such as him?" The other Higher stood behind the counter sighed, "Oosi, you know that you are young, we cannot give you something of great danger like you wish." She grunted, her face began to redden "Don't be mad Oosi, you'll earn your place someday." She sighed with anguish, "I'm ready for the trials though Grand Asteron!" He turned to face her, his face showed frustration "We decide when your ready! Your heart is set for great things but your mind is fragile and breaks easily under pressure!" Oosi flew into a fit of rage "Breaks...easily... under pressure! How can you say that? I've been training for many centuries now Grand Asteron." Asteron looked at the application report and then returned his focus to Oosi. "You see what I mean?" She stared blankly at him, "what? What do you mean Grand Asteron?" he smirked silently. "I mean, you're young and you let your emotions control you. You're faced with destruction and torment every--day as you protect the Lower Beings, if you let your emotions control you, your anger, your sadness, you joy, they won't only be the end of you but those that you try so hard to protect. Don't let your pride sacrifice your power young Oosi!" Oosi began to calm, "Yes Grand Asteron, I understand. You think that my power is not at it's peak yet..." She left the room and looked at the young apprentice. "Ugh...let's go."
