It's one thing to want the best for your child. It's another thing to drag them into a life they don't want any part of.

Except for those special scenarios where parent and child want the same same. leading the child into what you think is best and what they don't want to do is the same act. XD
It happens a lot.
Sometimes they get it right. Sometimes they get it wrong.
Happily though. Once you're an adult and old enough to move. everything you do is your own decision.

A lot of the time what a child thinks they want or need. And what the kid thinks will make them happy aren't what is best for them. Kids still live in a fantasy world where they will get exactly what they want, the first job they get will be their dream job etc. XD
But yes, what is "best" for your child SHOULD include them being happy. but not every part of it should be just to make them happy. And if you're doing right by them a lot of times the kid will NOT like it. XD
