Read Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. This is a book that changed my life. The film is also a brilliant piece of cinema and the manga simply expands on what the novel sets out.
I've heard that its similar to battle Royal in the first book but then goes in a different direction...anyway having not read the books at all I thought the movie was good...my friend said they screwed up the beginning...but that was the only real part she had trouble with...she said she thought the rest of it was good...so there you go XD havent really heard about what anyone else thinks about it who read the books though XD

well because I felt so closely associated with Katniss... I felt to some degree like I was her, in her life... and after going through that, it changes you. I fell in love with her (figuratively) and she left her mark on me... she is like an amazing person that you meet on an adventure, but you can never see them again. You never forget them though.

can you relate to her struggle? imagine yourself trying to protect someone by going through all that. You'r only reason for anything is protecting this person because this person literally is all that gives your life meaning. Can you imagine living like that, and going through the things she went through to protect that?

I can imagine it yes, I have imagined it a long time before this book though. if i couldnt relate to it i wouldnt read the book, i think he whole point of the character and trials she faces is that the audience will relate to her, like any/most stories XD
What you said wouldnt chnage anything for me i dont know about myself already, but now it sounds like im arguing that it shouldnt change you when i only mean to reply to your "do you relate comment" so im makin sure it isnt taken that way XD

I didnt say thats what would change your life, I was just pausing on your rebuttle about not being able to relate to a 16 year old girl.
This book does something unique as well, it gives you perspective from the "bad" side, what did you think about that? Any specific observations?
i know you didnt say it would change mine, but when i made the commont on the 16 ear old girl it was me saying i doubt i could get the same feeling of relation to the charcter as a young girl/woman thats all xD
Im reading the book, i havent read the book, so i cant really comment on it yet XD
