I'm just going to say: if racism is bad, why is judging someone based on their horoscope (Astrology) accepted? Even light stereotypical jokes are viewed by many people to be a very classless thing, yet these same people think it's ok to relate someone's personality to "constellations" (Yes, many people do take this quite far). Something that man, who worked at the giant telescope on a mountain, said to us before he let us look at Saturn! ^^

Judging anyone based on something that's out of their control is just plain narrow-minded. Yes religion is by choice, but there is no such thing as everyone that affiliate themselves with one name or symbol are the exact same thing. Even if there is a little bit of truth to it most times it becomes very offensive generalization. People who do it are just morons! As for the jokes thing, it's not for everybody, it depends on who you are joking with.

Also there is a big difference between sterotype jokes and racism. Russell Peters and Chris Rock do stereotype jokes. Most people find them funny. The Klu Klux Klan and the Nation of Islam (NOI and do not confuse with the religion of Islam, two separate things) are racist groups who kill people based solely on what colour their skin and and twisted racist beliefs!

I think what the problem is, is seeing the difference between "racism" and "Racial profiling" Racism is when someone actually despises or feels superior to someone just because of how they were born. That is wrong, just as it would be to despise or feel superior to someone based on their astrological sign.
However, Racial profiling is a different topic entirely. Im not saying it is ok, but im not saying that it is wrong either. racial profiling is accepting stereotypes to be true or somewhat true and acting accordingly. Sometimes it is smart to do this... sometimes its wrong. But its the same thing with horoscopes.
