The Giver
Has anyone read this book? It's about a community where everything is peaceful, perfect, no killing, wars, gambling, any of that. But they must give up something. And that something, is the ability to make choices, they must be the same. During a child's 12th year, s/ he and his/her group of elevens will be assigned a job for the rest of their lives. Jonas, the main character, is chosen to be the Reciever. The Reciever gives and recieves memories, and I don't want to give away too much, so just read the book!

Amazing book. I've owned for years and read it at least 8 times. It is pretty short, but for it's length, it really is a capturing story.
