The Future in Living Color

This story is going to be set 2000 years in the future when they call us the Ancients. The calender system is the same as it is today. The world has miraculasly kept all of its old religions, but has gained a few new ones. Tecnology has advanced to make computer consoles a thing of the past. Instead they have lenses similar to our contact lenses now that are placed into their eye at birth and their technology allows it to stay in the eye for the rest of the human's life without any bad side effects unless it malfunctions (which will just make it fall out) or if someone hacks it (Hack it and you hack the person). All things needed to make misiles where used up years ago. Instead, people go to war with huge robots. These robots are so expensive that few countries have more than one. There are many giant robot industries, they make most of their money fixing robots, but since their has not been a war for a while they have to take drastic measures. Let the future story begin!

Idelik was sitting in his living room, waiting for them to come, waiting for what he knew would be the end. "It is just like that ancient predicted. Why couldn't I see it sooner? He predicted that they would take over. We thought it was impossible. I remember how it all started",he said.

Idelik: Born in the tough town of New York he has had a harsh life. One day he was offered a job as the United States' second robot operator. He took the job and became a member of Alpha Unit, a secret organization of defense for the world. His robot is the Star Fist.

Gustov: Born in New Germany, he was taught by the best teachers money could buy because of his vast fortune accumulated by his father. He kept that fortune flowing by translating the writings of the ancients that he found on an old CPU type computer. He was transfered to Alpha Unit in by the German leader, Reigner Hoz Lee.

J.R. Rellim: Born in Mississippi, this man was lazy most of his life, but after his success in robotics, he was forced to work day after day on the giant robots. President Payne soon heard about his ability and sent him to work in Alpha Unit.

President Payne: Leader of Alpha Unit. The 205th female president, little concrete things are known about her besides that she is the president of the United States. Supposedly named after the lengendary ancient who ran a syndicate against men.

Yuna Yunalesca: Born in the Netherlands, she was named the most common female name of this age. It supposedly comes from the ancient who was a soldier of Payne. She was trained in the ancient fighting style of boxing. Her skills were recongnized by President Payne and she earned an all expenses paid trip to work in Alpha Unit. She is the operater of the United States robot, the Gemini.

Tell me what you think about the characters. I will start on the story after the first post if possible.

The screen flashes on and you see Idelik sitting on his hoverchair playing

a game of Mind Link Races. Suddenly a telepathic hum is heard. "Idelik,

report to Alpha Unit base imediately",said the voice of President

Payne. "Roger that",says Idelik. The telepathic hum stops. Idelik walks a

few feet to the teleporter. I wish that it was closer,thought Idelik.

He pushed in the coordinates of an abandoned automobile factory and

apeared there instantly. He hopped on a technocycle, pushed in the

coordinates and it began to drive. I know that Alpha Unit is supposed

to be secret, but couldn't they just put a super long password coordinate

unlocking system?,he thought,Sure it would be more dangerous,

but at least we would not be in danger of a gasoline explosion! He

arrived at the base, walked a whole 10 feet to the door and typed in the

160 digit access code. President Payne appears from behind the

door."You are five seconds late",she says, "Sit down in your seat at the

discussion table." Idelik imediately obeys. "You have been gathered here

for a special mission. An anti-war organization, Rebels against Earth's

Destruction, or R.E.D., has stolen the secrets of the Gemini, which were

to be delivered here today in the form of telepathic messages in a

telepathic tech-box. These secrets are not only vital for the Gemini's

defense, but also, it contains a secret way to boost its power. We had a

bug on the box in case it was lost, and we found their base, but there is a

problem. The base is surrounded by guards, and though a robot could

easily walk past, the building is encased in an anti-robot force field, the

last in existance. J.R. will have to hack the system so that we can send

Idelik and the Star Fist in there",said President Payne. " But President

Payne! I can go! I am a more experienced fighter than Idelik!",says

Yuna. "Yuna, as much as I know and beleive that, (almost unhearable in

the backround Idelik says,"Yeah, right!") I cannot send you because they

may know the Gemini's weak points and you are not compatable with the

Star Fist. Idelik will bust into the hanger bay and steal the box, or if

worse comes to worse and the robot cannot carry the box he will steal

the messages telepathically. There are a few robots in the hanger so

Yuna and the Gemini will have to be ready to launch at any time in case

they use the robots, but I find that very unlikely because they are an

anti-war organization. Gustov has not been called because his expertise

is not needed in this point in time. Move out!",says President Payne.

Idelik and Yuna go to the hanger and get into their. J.R. goes to the

computer room and begins the launch system for the Star Fist. He

says,"Launch in 3, 2, 1, Launch!"He then presses the launch Star Fist

button. The Star Fist begins flying toward the base. A telepathic hum

begins. "I need to keep comunications with you so I opened this

telepathic network. How long will it take you to hack the system?",asked

Idelik. "Not very long, just keep flying. I will tell you when the sheild is,

ok the sheild is down",said J.R.

"Go a little faster next time",Kicker said with a laugh as he came nearer

to R.E.D.'s base. The hanger comes into veiw as J.R. says,"You have

permission to land",with a laugh. Idelik smashes a hole through the

ceiling of the hanger with the Star Fist and jumps inside. He looks for the

box and finds it in the northern most area of the hanger and is about to

reach for it when one of the robots punches at him. He quickly dodges

and punches the robot's head off. Must be low quality, he thought.

Then he sees the lifeless corpse of a child fall to the ground. "Abort

mission! The place has kids running the robots!",said Idelik. "I will check

with the President if it is ok to abort",J.R. says then walks out and walks

back into the computer room,"Sorry, that is a negative. She said and I

quote: "If you don't wanna hurt those brats, steal that information back

and run!" over." Idelik lets out a sigh then says,"Rodger that." Idelik

begins to try to steal the secrets back telepathically when another robot

knocks him down with a punch. Idelik makes the Star Fist get up and

throw the robot out of the hole in the hanger ceiling. When he reaches for

the box, the robot attempts to dropkick him. Idelik quickly moves out of

the way and the robot is crushed by peices of the falling ceiling. A child's

hand is seen rising from the rubble, but then falling lifelessly. Three more

robots charge at Idelik. Idelik grabs all three with the Star Fist and

restricts them. "Send in the Gemini, I have my hands full,"said

Idelik. "Roger that, Gemini, you are A-Go",said J.R.

The Gemini launches and begins flying towards the base at max

speed. "Hey, wait! Why didn't she have a count down?"asked Idelik. "I am

just more important than you, live with it",said Yuna. Yuna flew in with the

Gemini and began to steal the secrets telepathically, when suddenly, the

children in the robots became angry and turned on their self destruct

buttons. Idelik sobbed as he threw the robots far away and the children to

their deaths. Yuna is almost finished stealing the secrets when the floor

opens up to reveal a high-quality, destroyer class robot. The pilot of the

robot turns on his robo speakers and says,"Pitiful, murdering innocent

children. What is so important about this box that you would be

cammanded by our lovely but devious president to kill these innocent

children? We only stole it because we heard it was going to the place with

the best fighting robots ever. We will not allow you war machines to

destroy our beloved planet. DIE!" the robot pulls out a gigantic sword and

slashes at the Star Fist. Just in time Idelik grabs the sword and holds it

back as best he can. "Don't resist. You will die. God will not allow

murderer like you to get away with such a crime,"said the pilot of the

robot as he put more force into cutting at the Star Fist. Idelik makes the

Star Fist knock the sword out of his hands. "I may have sinned, and my

path may not seem right to you. But the defense of the entire world rests

in out hands. So if I have to kill a handfull of kids in order to save all the

rest of the kids in the world, I will!",says Idelik through his robo speakers

as he makes the blades in the Star Fist's right hand come out of their

concealed slots and slices at the destroyer class robot. The destroyer

robot's pilot makes his robot block with it's left arm and the robot's left

arm is sliced off. The destroyer robot's pilot then kickes the star fist to the

ground, grabs the sword that is on the ground and slices across the Star

Fist's chest area. Idelik makes the Star Fist stumble up and grab the

sword as it zooms at him again. Still holding the sword with his left hand,

Idelik makes the Star fist use the ultra secret technique the Star

Spangled Slicer and slices the destroyer class robot in the cockpit, barely

harming the robot itself, but killing the pilot. A teleporter is heard

humming, then the hum stops. "I have the secrets, but why did those

children and that man fight us? Why should we have to kill those

children?"asks Yuna. " "I don't know",says Idelik,"I don't know." They fly

back to the Alpha Unit base, crying all the way.

Later that night in Yuna's private quarters:

"I found out what will make the Gemini stronger, it needs two pilots",says

Yuna as the telepathic device in her home hums.

"OK, I will send J.R. to it",says President Payne.

"But he is not compatable because the Gemini is a female based

robot!"said Yuna.

"The device is ready, time to test it,"said President Payne.

"Oh, understood",said Yuna.

The monitor turns on and you see J.R. sitting in his home playing Ancient

Fantasy Mind Link. When suddenly the telepathic hum of the telepathic

receiver begins. "Come to Alpha Base immediately!” says President

Payne. "Understood, President. You really need to chill out more.”, says

J.R. "Just come over! We have something important to test!”, says

President Payne. "Roger that,” says J.R. with a sigh. J.R. types in the

coordinates of his favorite donut shop in. He appears in the donut shop

and says to the shopkeeper, “It is another one of those days." "The fresh

donuts are out back”, says the donut shop owner. J.R. finds his

technocycle in its usual place and types its coordinates to drive to the

base. He arrives at the base and types the password into

the door. "Get in your seat, Yuna will arrive soon. We need to talk about

your position in our operations”, says President Payne. I hope that she

is not planning on firing me, if I am fired from this job I will know too

much, they will kill me,thought J.R. as he sits down. "You said that

Yuna will arrive soon. what about the others?”, asked J.R. "They do not

need to attend. This has nothing to do with them”, says President

Payne. "If this is about me not doing a good job in finding the

organizations, I just so happen to have found out about another potential

rebel group called Beautiful Ladys Unifying Earth, or B.L.U.E.",says

J.R. "Don't worry about them, they are clean. Don't worry about your job

either. You not only will continue to work here you shall get a promotion”,

says President Payne. "A promotion? What do I get to do?” asks J.R. "You

will be co-driving the Gemini along with me”, says Yuna as she enters the

room. Unaware of the synchronization requirements of the Gemini, J.R.

says, “Really? I get to co-pilot a robot? It is an honor." "You will have to

where this suit, though,” says President Payne. J.R. looks at the suit. "But

that is a girl's suit! I can't wear that!”, says J.R. "Stop your whining, the

only way for the Gemini to think that you are a girl is if you have a girl

figure, or seem to have one.” says President Payne. J.R. puts the suit

on. “Now get in the Gemini and prepare for launch. You will be going to

the simulation bay to test the abilities of the Gemini with a co-pilot”, says

President Payne. “Wait, how am I supposed to launch the Gemini while I

am inside of it?”, asks J.R. “We have filled your position in with Gustov”,

says President Payne. “Do you think that Gustov can handle it?”, asked

J.R. Gustov turns on telepathic speakers. “As the great ancient endnekind

once said: “When life gives you lemons, make lemon pie with chocolate

and whipped cream. Mmmmmm pie.” Besides, these computers

practically run themselves”, says Gustov. J.R. and Yuna walk into the

Gemini. “As endnekind and an elite group of powerful people once

said: “TOFU JET AWAYYYYY!”, says Gustov as he pushes the launch

button. “Hey Yuna”, says J.R. “What?”, asks Yuna. “Do these suits usually

make you feel funny?” Yuna looks away from him and says,” Yeah, they

make you feel funny at first, but then you get used to it.” The two fly the

Gemini to the simulation bay. “We are going to try it out on easy and

work our way up to Deity class”, says President Payne through the

telepathic speakers. “The Deity class! That is impossible!”, says J.R. “I

have faith in the Gemini,” says President Payne. “Simulation one is go. As

the great endnekind would say: We all have to start at the beginning or

we unless we are starting at the end but if we start at the end then the

beginning will catch up on us unless the end was the beginning in which

case it would be O.K. to start at the end”, says Gustov. The easy

simulation is finished within seconds.

“On to destroyer class!”, says

Gustov. The destroyer class simulation is finished within 30 seconds. “As

a few of the friends of endnekind would say: “WOOT!”. On to Titan class”,

says Gustov. The Titan class simulation causes a little struggle but it is

finished within the hour. “Synchronization is at 100%!” says President

Payne. “I don’t feel so good. Something weird is happening inside of me.

I get the feeling that something is missing”, says J.R. “We cannot stop the

simulation now. Continue to Deity class! “, says President Payne. “As

endnekind once said: “I could think up a plan, but you are the leader.”

Deity class start! May God take pity on your souls”, says Gustov. A

theoretical Deity class robot hologram appears from the projector. The

robot quickly punches the Gemini and knocks it to the ground. The Gemini

punches back and stands back up. The Deity pulls from its back the Deity

class theoretical weapon called a Gunblade. It slashes at the Gemini and

misses, but the Deity pulls the trigger on the blade and theoretical

projectiles called bullets hit the Gemini, knocking it down. The Gemini

stands up, battered and raw circuits showing.“Should I stop the

simulation, President Payne?”, asked Gustov. “As your prophet endnekind

once said: “Never give up , unless by giving up you actually continue

what you were doing, in which case go ahead, give up.”, says President

Payne. That is odd, I only just decoded that information from the

ancient tomes today. He must have said it one of the other times I

decoded information and I did not remember ,thought Gustov. The

Deity begins to slice at the Gemini for a finishing move, when the Gemini

begins glowing! “Twin Pairs of Fists!”, say Yuna and J.R. in unison. The

Gemini moves with great speed and gets behind the Deity class robot.

The Deity begins to turn around, but before it can the Gemini begins to let

out a flurry of punches. The theoretical armor of the Deity falls off and

the projector stops projecting it. “Finishing Blow!”, say Yuna and J.R. in

unison. The Gemini punches through the Deity’s theoretical CPU. “As

endnekind’s friends would say: “WTF?””, says Gustov. “You may go home

now ,Gustov. Your presence is not needed for the docking sequence”,

says President Payne. “Understood Madame President. I just have to go

to the bathroom”, says Gustov.

*Later*

Gustov exits the bathroom and sees President Payne, Yuna, and another

woman talking at the table. “So you are called Anuy. Right?”, asks

President Payne. “Yes. I am Anuy. I am here to fill the position of

engineer and co-pilot of the Gemini for J.R. who died shortly after the last

simulation “,says Anuy. “Good, you are dismissed”, said President Payne.

Gustov walks past without saying a word.

*The next day in a cemetery outside of the Church of Reigner Hellblader *

“We are gathered here today to send one of the followers of darkness to

where all come from. As it is said in the Dark Testament in the book of

Reigner 12:2: “For all begins in darkness and all ends in darkness.”

Shadow to shadow, darkness to darkness. Let Joe Ray Rellim forever lurk

in the darkness happy and free forever more.”, says the Dark

Priest. “Amen”, says everyone in unison.

Idelik sits in his room watching the news. "Live

tonight we have news of a new group called Guys

of Reigner's Eternal Yore, aka GREY protesting J.R.

Rellim's death, saying it was the fault of the

government. In other news a copycat robber has

been caught yet another impersonator of the

ancient known as Dazzard",says the reporter.

The telepathic reciever hums. "Who is it, can't you

see I am mourning the death of a co-worker of

mine?",transmits Idelik. "Sorry, but we have to

stop GREY. Have you seen the news? That is just a

bit of what is going on. They plan an assasination",

the president's voice says in Idelik's head. " An

assasination? Of who?",asked Idelik. "Me. Now head

over here right away, and don't complain about it!",

says Payne. Idelik takes the usual route to work,

once again hating that he had to drive a fossil

fuel powered old relic to work. Idelik enters the

briefing room and sees a new girl there sitting in

J.R.'s place. "Wow, you sure replace them fast",

says Idelik. "Reduce, reuse, recycle",says Anuy.

"What is that?",asks Idelik confusedly. "An ancient

saying. I haven't gotten around to translating what

it means yet",says Gustov. President Payne walks

in. "Now, it seems from an intercepted signal,

thanks to Gustov, that there is a group of robotic

units coming this way. Now though most of them

lack weapons we are getting some strange readings

from the leader",says Payne. "As endnekind once

said,"There is no strange, only different",says

Gustov. "Whatever the case is I want you to take

them out",says Payne,"You, and Yuna and Anuy will

destroy every last one of those *face is blurred

out, audio tempararily offline for this one word*s!"

Anuy says,"Rodger that." Yuna says,"Understood."

Idelik says,"WHAT?! Kill unarmed men?

Unthinkable!" "Technically the robots themselves

count as weapons",says Payne "But I could disable

them myself without killing them!",says

Idelik,"Besides, who will launch us. If Anuy is J.R.'s

replacement, why is she a co-pilot? And a co-pilot

for who? Me? I can take care of myself!" "Calm

down. Just kill them that is an order. Before he died

J.R. was promoted to co-pilot for Yuna. Gustov is

trained for launching now. And I don't doubt your

abilities",says Payne. "You may not, but I do. I have

since the first time I saw him",says Anuy. "Lets just

go!",says Idelik. It wasn't until he was already in

the Star Fist that he really thought about what Anuy

said. "I thought this was the first time she saw me",

thinks Idelik. He shrugs it off. "TOFU JET

AWAYYYY!", exclaims Gustov.
