The Columbine Shooting
Okay...as of today its been 10 years since the shooting at Columbine high school. I doubt there's anyone who hasn't at least heard about it but for those that havent. The incident happened in 1999 and involved two students named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. They went through the halls of the school shooting at their fellow students, believed that it was a result of teasing and bullying. Well recently there's been a news story of newly released information that they hadn't even been bullied. I had to search for the article again and found it on slate.com.

I remember I was a senior in high school when this had happened. To be honest I wasn't surprised at all. There were so many bad kids in my school who were in gangs and always talked about violence, that something like this was expected. There were no cameras or security in our school, people could sneak in anything they wanted.

I was eight when this happened so I never actually learned about it until a few years later...but I do remember that a few weeks after it happened some kids thought it'd be funny to bring plastic guns to school.
