Tell me a reason

I think the hardest thing to do is to play the game, I simply couldn't get the courage of playing this game! The last time I managed to insert the disc into my ps2, but then I took the disc off once I reached the load screen.

Tell me, what is the ** reason for playing this game? Honestly, its not that I hate this game...I simply couldn't enjoy it. Sad

I played it out of curiousity...I hadn't read any reviews or anything and my sis is one of those types who think all female characters is revolutionary Rolling Eyes so I got it (she thinks its the greatest game in the world) but I thought it was made for men who liked hentai

"One has studied your history. Terrible wars have been fought where millions have died for one idea, freedom. And it seems that something that means so much to so many people would be worth having." Bicentennial Man

"Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today." Malcolm X

For all those men who say "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize its not worth buying an entire pig, just to get a little sausage...and if you're among those 80% add this to your sig.

I could not enjoy the game either. I think it's shameful. To take such a wonderful game and turn it into such a piece of crap. I am one of those gamers that commit to an RPG, so when I stole it out of curiosity, I tried it, enjoy the first like... 5 minutes, but after I saw the "Mission Complete" thing, I hated it already.

I aced it just because I wanted to see Tidus again. I was curious wether they'd give him a different outfit too.

Whereas I agree the game is bad, I dissagree with the sexist state. I've watched Hentai. Not religiously, but I've watched it once or twice, because it is fun. And I'm sure you have too, otherwise you wouldn't really know what it was.

I, for one, agree that there were over-exagerated scenes, such as Dressphere changes, and whatnot, but there are several aspects I would like to point out.

First of all, it is made by who? Yup, SQUARE ENIX! I'm a big believer that the Enixes are trying to make games appealing to NEW Generation of gamers, using tricks like Shoujo scenes and sets (FFX-2), over-worked Graphics with very bad storyline (Final Fantasy XII), Online Games so as to have more people play it (Final Fantasy XI), Highschool Settings (Final Fantasy AGITOXIII), Oil-well-like exploration of a Classic that SHOULD have stayed as it was (Final Fantasy VII), and endless remakes of previous games that were best to be left alone.

What would one expect?

My exact same reason, not because I am fond of Tidus or anything like that, since I consider him one of the most irritating characters ever and he was a mistake made in Final Fantasy X; Square Enix could have made a far more better main character. Anyways; since I enjoyed FFX’s storyline and liked it; I was curious about the story in FFX-2 and how it’s going to end; whether Tidus will appear again or not… that’s practically it. I could say that the battle system was okay, but that's not an enough reason to play it and go through everything. So yeah; the curiosity about the story.

Other than that; I can say that FFX-2 is the worst Final Fantasy was ever made in the main series. (P.S: I don’t consider Final Fantasy XI a real Final Fantasy so it’s not included in my consideration.)

I guess if you liked the story in FFX it would be possible for you to play FFX-2, just out of curiosity. You’re not the only one who thinks it’s crap.

A reason to play this game, well to me, there are quite a number of reasons and i shall share with you guys. First reason and perhaps the most important one is because the game comes with a Final Fantasy title in it, being a FF fans and having played ALL the FF games out there, there is no way for FF fans like us to pass out on this especially it is on the PS2 (unlike PSP, grr...never own one and cant play).

Second reason is that because FF X-2 picks up the story of FF X. Well, FFX is one of my fav FFs in the series and to me, the ending of FF X was too hasty and i really like Tidus...at the end, i can't believe that he vanished just like that...it's sad isn't it? At least that's how i felt. So when FF X-2 came out and we know that the story is mainly about Yuna in search for Tidus...HAHA, i think we're hungry to know what happen to the story. Also, i've grown attached to some of the places in FF X, so i do like to know what happened to those places after FF X. It was great really in that aspect.

Third reason, i must confess that i do have some soft spot for those female characters from FFX, so watching them in different costume is naturally...one of the reason to push me on. I love getting new dressphre and check them out over and over again.

Actually the game isn't that bad but still bad..ugh what the hell im saying? I personally hated it due to the gameplay aspect. I don't have fun playing the game probably the battle system. I hated those mission thingy but i do like some of the sidequest, for eg. the Yuna Gun mission. I like that. Haha. Anw, the game has a good soundtrack too. Very Happy, we can't deny that it is a cool game.

I can deny that I thought the game sucked and I regret paying any amount of money for it.

I think I'll play FFX-2.

Hidden:
Yeah, I'll do that after I'm done with FFT War of the Lions, FF7 Crisis Core, FF XII, FF XIII, FFXIII Revenant Wings, FF Crystal Chronicles and ALL the upcoming FFs! Very Happy

You will like FFX-2 after playing FF Crystal Chronicles, at least that's my opinion... yeah that could be the answer to your question; play FF:CC, which sucks badly in my opinion, then play FFX-2, you may find it a little fun... at least ... but if you liked FF:CC then... there is no cure for your problem other than what I previously said Smile

CC was... well. Bad, too. I'm not sure if I can say it was as bas as X-2, though.

You are right; in a way… However; FFX-2 is the sequel of FFX and that, in eyes of some fans, makes it look better than it actually is, I am not saying that FFX was the ultimate perfect game, it had its flaws, major flaws actually… but I liked the story; it had some depth in it. That’s why I am favoring FFX-2 over FF:CC.

Well that makes sense. Perfect sense, really. X, I won't lie, is my favourite right now in the FF series, haha. May change with XIII, but I doubt it. Sometimes I feel that, being attached to X like I am, that it makes X-2 worse than CC since... it had so much to look up to. CC wasn't really trying to accomplish too much, I don't think. So it was just a blah game.

That’s precisely my point. Fans like yourself will enjoy FFX-2 because they really like FFX, not because FFX-2 itself is good, just because they are fond of everything about FFX causing them to like it’s sequel. FFX is not one of my favorites, I liked it; mostly for its storyline, but I can’t say it’s better than others like FFVII and FFIX… It’s the main reason why I played FFX-2, it’s like I wanted to see the ending of the entire story. As for FF:CC; I’ve previously expressed my opinion about it in its forum and not feeling like writing my rank for it again, but mostly I didn’t like it because of its storyline; it’s an RPG, it is supposed to have a storyline instead of not...

I understand why not a lot of people may not enjoy this game, but two things that I found interesting were:

    * The new fast battle system
    * I like how for the first time you got to see what everyone was doing after a crisis. Usually after saving the world, you never get to see what the heroes are doing after that event.
