Technical Problem

ok i was checkng the forums and this seems to be the right plae to ask this, if not sorry.

Ok, i have the PC version of FFVIII. Everythings working great, up untill Disc 3 right when Squall saves Rinoa (whom are floating in space). During the sequence where they are heading toward Ragnarok, the game crashes and i get an error. Im running on WinXpPro SP2, 1GB RAM, 2GHz P4, Radeon 9800 SE 128MB vid card (up to date vid drivers and DirectX 9.0c). I have the FF8SqeaPatch installed and still i have the same problem. Ive lost count on how many times ive had to sit through the continous talking and what not and Im about to give up, reformat and run a duel boot of Win98 and XP, but id realy rather not. Its got to me so bad its giving me a headache. Can anyone help me? Crying or Very sad
