Team Fortress 2 Free to Play
If you haven't already got it, then Team Fortress 2 is now free to play. That's completely free to play (if you ignore Microtransactions) so you don't have to pay for it and it's not just a trial period.
Of course, it does make me feel sorry for the people who paid for it (especially those who bought it just because Valve had announced a huge update to the game). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else is going to get it now since it's free now?

I bought TF2 (Orange Box) way back on the 360.
When i started to play PC games, Orange Box was re-purchased for 30. So i paid a total of 50bucks (plus some tax.) for 10 games, and I have spent over 130hours playing TF2 on PC alone, even more so on console, probably. So I am not complaining of the "now free bahblah" thing.
Anyway, the players have risen from around 35k(I think more, actually) to around 95K....People are cheap butts, no offense. 
TF2 is my top game on Steam.
Also, when they announced the big update, they also stated it would be F2P, atleast the article I read. So if you bought it within the week, then that is your problem for not reading in to things, but within the last two weeks, I'd be a little peeved.
Zombiechocobox is my steam, anyone. it should say "CSn| Zombiechocobox. Its the pic of a chocobo...Clever, I know. XD.

TF2 just stole 5 hours of my life. I got stabbed in the back so many times. 
I got Portal during a special thing on Steam where you could get the whole game for free for one weekend only, and now I've got TF2 for free. I'm only one game off having the Orange Box for free without having to pirate any of the games.
They kept the fact that TF2 was going to become free-to-play hidden. Valve did make an announcement about a week before that they were making a free-to-play game, which is why they added free-to-play games to Steam.
Apparently, TF2 has surpassed Call of Duty in the most played FPS game on Steam since it went free-to-play.
I'm darkdraconis on Steam. It should come up with lordj.

You're right. I thought they mentioned it would be F2P like a week before. Must have misread. I remember thinking "A whole week free for TF2 players?" Because I didnt understand how they worded it.
I am about to add you.
On Steam, Counter Strike and Counter Strike: Source were the 2 highest FPS on average, sometimes Black Ops or MW2 would surpass them. CS and CS:S are now in the wake of the almighty TF2! MWAHAHHAA *cough cough* *ahem*
Congrats on getting Portal for free...I bought P2 on PS3 and get a free PC copy. A 110$ value, only 60ish =D. And P2 took me around 40hours to beat, well worth the money!
