Supreme Court on games
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/extra-credits/1961-Free-Speech
I couldn't find the news story on this but the supreme court plans to determine if games are protected under the first amendment. I for one don't think this is right and as a community of gamers I thought you might like this to be brought to attention.

This is the petition
and for the non Americans out there who believe it won't affect you if mature games aren't sold in America...then let me fill you in...if the American market drops for a specific game rating than its more than likely game companies will stop making them...so say bye bye to good mature games.

Your saying that if it does come to pass that mature rated games aren't sold in American then they're going to stop making them...Why would they stop making the games when they can sell them in other countries.
Oh and it's really obvious that the ban isn't going to get passed since most of the money that's going into the country is from video games.
Oh and another point about the ban is they say it's harming the minors how is it?
It's not the people who make the games' fault that people sell the games to minors and that their parents allow them to have the game in the first place

Seymour: But there is no salvation for the damned! Rest in peace in eternal darkness.
Lulu: No matter how dark the night, morning always comes, and our journey begins anew.
Rikku: Memories are nice, but that's all they are... |

The games will stop being made because most mature games get their highest sales in America, mostly from the shootesr. Also many of these mature games are now being developed by american companies especially CoD, Medal of Honor, Fallout, GTA (and all other Rockstar titles), etc. So you need to be concerned about this...all gamers the world over need to be concerned about this.
