I saw it, its not too difficult if you have auto-phoenix and break damage limit to be honest.. i think they are going a bit over the top with needing ribbon..

u cantr beat the flan >_< so u say its over the top to need ribbon? (which isnt in the US version). tho status ailments arnt that bad in FF10...:/ seeing as you ccan plan you move since its completely turn based, but yea, ailments dont do crap so ribbon is kinda not necessary. (unloess your trying to kill a malibor xD then yea ribbon lol.)

how do u die in zanarkand? they take downlike 50 damage >_< i first got the game my firsat ff game, i didnt die.
i didnt know u could die in zanarkand lol. somthing always happend when yo ugot low heath, sept on the beginning were yo fight the little sinspawns he has.

i didnt see the save sphere either the first play i did :/ actuilly i didnt notice it till i was reading a guide or somthing for the hell of it and there was a save spehre behind it they said xD lol.

for anyone who cares, heres how to beat a few of them in NSG (without using aeons either):
Stratoavis- Evade and Counter on your weapons, use Light curtains on your guys or just defend when its charging. E+C will ensure your characters won't die, cast trio of 9999 and use overdrives to make the fight quicker.
Cactuar King/Sleep Sprout/Vidatu- Trio of 9999 and a 2-2-2 Attack Reels (first strike to make sure you get your turns first).
Greater Sphere- use a candle of life and wait it out, all 3 overdrive modes on comrade, cast trio of 9999 and use auto-potion (normal potions will do) to keep yourself healed, do not attack. Remix trio of 9999 when 2 people die. Oh yeah, have auto-phoenix on too.
Fenrir- Rikku has confuseproof on her armour and Evade and Counter on her weapon, uses a light curtain on herself and then a candle of life on fenrir, the other 2 escape, Rikku keeps defending (dont worry when you get to low HP, he can't kill you now)
As for doing the capturung, I used a rather strong Anima and kept using demi to drain the HP down (only applies after the Calm Lands). Before and up to the calm lands, stonestrike or deathstrike on your capture weapons will do. There is only one other fiend i need to mention and that is adamatoise (omega ruins and inside sin). To capture it use a sleeping powder or dream powder, then a poison fang and keep track of its HP (it has 54k HP, poison dealing 2700 per turn i think). use another sleeping powder when it wakes up. Capture with Auron when its at very low HP (less than 90), use potions/hi-potions to manipulate it.
