Suggestion: PM to Group
I find this service really crucial for UG leaders and assistant as it saves time when sending the same PM (either news, notification or important notices) to the whole UG members.
Why don't post in the UG itself? It's because some members may not even read due to their busy hours at school or work, and pming would attract their attention via email.
Instead of repeating the prosedure (copying and pasting the same PM and send to the whole group), perhaps a multiple user pm service can help? Like we can choose the usernames from a list (or type them manually) from a single PM and the message will be delivered to all the recipients listed in the selected username list.
Kindly ignore this suggestion or delete it if its already been suggested earlier and declined with reasons from the Admins and Funender.

i agree with this suggestion...had to send the same pm to many ppl and yeah its not the most pleasant job -.-

I have thought about this feature in the past but I wonder if all group leaders would be responsible enough to not abuse the feature. They may send out uninteresting pm's to everyone which would make usergroup members leave the group due to what they consider is spam. It is something to consider though.

Hmmm... maybe as an optional feature? The leaders would need a certain support in his7her group for them to get such feature? Just a suggestion...

fyi: there is an option in your profile to turn off email notification of PMs, so that might not work for all your members either.

it does sound like a good idea, not only because most people get e-mails but also because of the pop-up you get when you go to a page after receiving a pm
and basicly knowing most people on here, and especialy the leaders of most usergroups they won't abuse it, and they might realise spamming will only make their usergroup less interesting for others and a reason to leave, and no leader wants a uergroup which is empty... i gues <.<
but yeah, maybe what cim said is a good idea, something like a poll inside the usergroup forum if the leader should have that ability, that way you'll have hard proof because someone who isn't in that group can't vote there thus not beeing able to "cheat" the votes...

Good idea, but hopefully leaders won't PM too often; if all the UGs started to PM quite a bit then it would overload the inbox. But definitely a good idea for the future.

Surely there's a way of notifying the entire UG members about the news or other important stuffs, just like the Funender Magazine where we all get a copy each month (but weird I didn't receive any these past few months).

Yeah maybe a feature like Funender Magazine but smaller versions for UG (so all UG members get the latest updates of what happening inside the specific UG).
And its really true, considering that the PM to group system might be abused by some forumers though limiting to UG leaders doesn't guarantee it.

yeah, i remember sending all the geisha clan members pms about the RP i posted, that was kinda of a pain, especialy when you get good at it and it says you need to wait a few seconds before posting again XD
so i agree that the leaders of the groups might have that abillity to pm them...
but i can indeed also understand people will be afraid it's gonna be overused...
so... it'll stay as an admin dissision

Well, if it was overused, IŽd simply delete the PMs IŽd get before even reading them... IŽm used to do so with Spam-like e-mails
However, I wouldnŽt do many massive PMs, just unless thereŽs something important moving on, in order to remind people to check over the UG ^^

You can go over your limit I think; but it helps not to. I can't forsee that many UGs suddenly becoming extremely active to be a problem though.
