ok so i never even knew she casted zombie, i had gotten zombieproof on all of my characters just cuz i utterly hate the zombie status, so that explains to me why whe was allways healing me XD
but the first time i fought her she pissed me the F*** off, i was pwning her, thinkin to myself, 'damn this is way to easy' then bam megadeath game over
"F*** *!"
yea that sucked and im sure it happend to other ppl too
so sinse im obsessed with PLing i went out and got deathproof for everyone and got bahamut and yuna to full overdrive
beginning of the battle i whipped out bahamut w/yuna's overdrive, casted 2 megaflares, dismissed him (cuz there was no more use and she would just drain him anyways) and by then she was allmost in her 3rd form so i just fought my ass of w/yuna and auron, yuna healing and auron pwning 
edit: also on my second time through the game i just used FIrestrike Icestrike Lightningstrike Waterstrike Fire eater Ice eater Lightning eater and Water eater, so i can attack myself and have full health, even in zombie

Jeez that mustve taken a while both times. Stealing 180 Farplane Winds would have taken ages, and thats assuming you knew how to get them before. Also, 24 of each gem must have taken a while, especially Ice gems for Ice Eater, or did you just beat Chimerageist a few times?

idk its been forever, i remember the farplane winds were a pain but for the jems i dont remember, i just know that data has 250+ hours on it  i was addicted at the time cuz i didnt have FFXII yet, then it turned out to be crap tho  but yea i spent all of my free time playin that back then, and damn i didnt realize it took 60 farplane winds for deathproof rofl
but that combo is the *, its only absorbed by things that absorb all 4 and when u hit urself it heals for fricken 4x ur damage, which at the high end of the game is about 90% ur health.
now the really cheap way of doing it is by giving one person deathproof and him and someone else Auto-Pheonix lol i love autopheonix by far the cheapest ability in the game
and i THINK, not sure, u can steal the stupid farplane winds from nemisis by the bucketfull, or somthing in the arena....
plus i had boosted my stats with what i call "The Grinding Sword"

yea no good for dmg or any cool abilitys but hey it gets you mondo AP, that one was hard to make too..... but i had 250 HOURS! XD

I think I have only ever once had enough mega-phoenixes to customise auto-phoenix by then.
With all the -Eater and -Strike abilities, you'd be healing yourself a little over 5 times your normal damage (5.0625).
Yeah, you can steal farplane winds from espada (the macalania area creation).
BTW yeah, i also use that weapon for mass levelling  , just add Cactuar king or Don Tonberry to the mix, 99 sphere levels

well, i managed to beat her with a learn as you go proccess. i GOd a few times, but all worth it
this is how i did it:
main team:
Yuna
Tidus
Auron
(in that order (yuna on the left))
first form:
tidus or yuna will be first, so have tidus use hastega and yuna use reflect on everyone(put on auron first) have auron just plain out beat her silly in the first and and half of the second form have tidus constantly using cheer and yuna healing with pots. my yuna had steal and use at the time, so i had her use items when she was free.
second form:
basically same as the first form, but half way through let tidus start attacking. she opens with a hellbiter to put everyone in zombie, cure it with holy water, but make sure they have it when the third sate comes. have yuna heal use dispel whenever yunalesca's regen reflects back on her. doing that saved me a lot of trouble.now everyone is in zombie and topped off with most of their health, time for the third stage
third stage:
byfar the gayest stage of all..... but mostly its the same concept, someone will die imediately rez and heal, do you best to keep them topped off on hp until the hellbiter comes. Auron and tidus together should be doing something around 10000 dmg but since auron is a slow fighter tidus will mostly be solo doing 4000. when she has between 0-30000 bust out auron's shooting star or banishing blade, and bahamut's megaflare. that should do her in, get her lower if you want that overkill i beat her to 10000 auron hit the dmg limit so she had minimal hp and megaflare wasn't needed, but was a righteous ending to that B****.
i sqeezed everyone in on the second stage so they got exp, it made the fight a little harder, but worth the trouble

Anyway, Yunalesca is weak. She only beats people with strategy which is why all the powerlevellers get stuck. An NSG party can survive easily even against her most powerful attack.
