Sticky
i was wondering if you thought it would be a good idea to sticky long lasting threads
by long lasting i dont mean have been spammed in for years i mean the kind that can be posted in again by new members who wont get the chance once the topic dies down, like the deskto thread for newer members or members who change thiers, post your pic thread and other interesting things like that
obviously they would be at the top of the page always and wont get knocked off or deleted (although they WOULD have to have tighter rules than other threads to keep them closer to the topic at least so there is one on topic thing per page fgs lol)
or even an extra section for sticky threads.
which brings me to a second idea
could there be another section/sub-section/area/whatever for threads (if there are or will be any sometime though that might not come up yet) threads that are worthy of keeping to be re read by new members or old members like a glory topic thread
just some ideas ^^

On a more serious note. I see spam being a downside to this. Really anything in the lounge just becomes a whirlpool of randomness and it's fairly impossible for anything in there to stay on topic for more than a few pages. I think this would be a great idea for walkthrough or Q&A topics inside the actual game threads though. Really, each game should have 'Q & A' stickied to the top and have a walkthrough thread stickied under it. I like it for those areas.

Stickies can only be made by admins, although I think Funender isn't too happy with the idea of filling forums with stickies.

i would say having more then one Stickie a thread is a miss us of the function whats the point of having threads that drop down if there not being used if every thread is Sticked.

well i didnt mean having a page of stickies before recent topics, just 1 maybe if its needed for a section there are some topics that would be good for it im sure, and the thing about keeping old topics that where good in another section would be a sticky only (or not sticky, it wouldnt matter) sectionXD
i did like fiths comment thougand yeah spam would make it a problem

I definetly think having one 'Q&A' thread stickied to the top of each game section would be good.
