Stargate Universe
new series starting on oct 2nd 2009. interesting plot i think, and ill totally watch it, at least for a couple episodes. obviously the people that only love the first 6 seasons of SG-1 prolly wont care for this.
anyway. intesting cast from what i can tell. the guy in the first picture in the below link ive actually met and hes a cool dude.

http://www.gateworld.net is the best website for Stargate info. And yes you should know I'm excited about this so I picked WOOOOHOOOOO!
But I bet this won't be starting in Aus until, well maybe not even this year...
Stargate Atlantis Season 5 just came out on dvd here so I'm watching that now lol.
As for my opinion of Universe so far. I've read that it will be a show mostly dedicated to characters and their development as the series progresses. It probably means less fighting, and maybe slower plot lines but it still has the same writers so it shouldn't be too different.

well i mean, you should be able to watch it online after a show airs in the states. i think SyFy does that....

Hey, Yeah a friend found a place to get it. I've seen the pilot (eps 1 and 2) and enjoyed it. Though it was hard to judge because they obviously had so much to introduce but it kind of felt a bit flat.
Have to applaud the writers though for continuing the stargate franchise with different ideas. Even if they did sort of explain the use of stargates in a cheapish way for universe lol

i never got to see atlantis, i dont even know if they played it on normal tv here, and i wont have cable (not full cable) till christmas so i cant see universe either unless seify wants to send me that link >.>
though i did see a small part of the first ep and it looked to be a lot different from the other series....
and RDA is gettin on a bit by the looks of it lol

I only saw the episode in sg-1 where they found atlatis for the spin off but no, never an actual episode of sga. Once i get some time im gonna go through them.

Only time I saw anything remotely related to this was the "Fargate" on Aqua Teen Hunger Force... Only SciFi (I'm not accepting their new rape of the english language) show I ever got into was Sliders back in the day.

Yeah that's weird. In Aus we still have the "SciFi" channel.
Sliders was good. I came close to buying seasons 1 and 2 on dvd last week lol
Speaking of RDA, MacGyver re runs are now being shown a lot on tv here.

So what is everyones opinion of the show so far?
I have to say I watched the premier again last night and I took in a lot more than I did the first time. Characters traits, the unfolding of events etc.
Not sure if we should bother using spoil but meh
