starcraft 2
It finally happened people. Blizzard announced that starcraft 2 is finally being made over in south korea (being as sc is pretty much the national past time over there)
i predict that tomorrow morning, blizzards is going to buy south korea. the form of currency: souls
whats everybody think?
I mean its pretty obvious that everyone will play it at one point or another lol but seriously, whos been waiting for this?
p.s. sorry im too lazy to throw in some links. just search it on google and youll find it out.

there are also videos on Youtube that show off some of the units in game. it looks to be mostly done as is blizzards fashion for game design (don't announce a game till its about a year away from shipping at most)

if you read the FAQ it does answer some questions.
it sounds like there will be some benefits to playing it on a DX10 system, but it will still be playable on a large variety of hardware.
from the in game videos i would say it doesn't look to be a real system killer, so a moderate system configuration should be fine.
they say they are going to be doing a battle.net revision for it, battle.net is already very detailed
the only things i can think of adding on are clan support (which they are ambiguous on answering this, but my moneys on yes)

how dare you..... Starcraft is the only RTS that i truely loved. warcraft was just that girlfriend that would never leave your apartment after you broke up with her because you were thinking of her sister that you had a one-time fling with(starcraft) and your on-again off-again girlfriend (warcraft) would keep on coming back just a little bit hotter, but ultimately the same thing (though World of warcraft was much more addicting, but still left you dreaming of her sister Starcraft)

sweet vids thor. does anyone have a big enough scrreen to see what the supply limit might be? im just so sick of the 200 limit, and judging by some of the scenes, there are a crap load more units fighting at a time, even the selected units are on the interface is larger so i wonder if this is scalling up to be war... much like it should be.

200 supply limit...? There's no limit to the supplies in mine...
Actually, if you're on about the population limit that's 200. you cold be getting confused with Terran Spply Depots which provide extra population until 200.

One effects the other because you use resources to buy units who use up the population limit.

i figure by the time it comes out in 2008 (prolly the 3rd quater is my guess) ill snatch up a macbook/macbook pro and since its coming out for pc and mac at the same time, ill be good to go... maybe even just a sweet imac. either way, i dont think its gonna take a ridiculous amount of upgrades to play sc2. if you can play some modern games on your pc today then only a couple upgrades down the line should do you in. at least thats what i hope lol. ^^

granted the expansion was nothing to turn away but in turms of additions it was.. like 2 more units per race or something. when i play the original from time to time i stick with the original game, no broodwar. the units in the expansion were over used by players online and lost their flare for me.
the new units on sc2 look pretty crazy though so that made me want to play the original.
i think im getting too worked up about this. i havent felt this giddy since my 21st birthday.
