For what it was, it was all right. But it had no reason to use the final fantasy name. When they first started talking about making a final fantasy movie, i was like "YESSSSSS!" But as soon as I saw the previews and the movie itself, I was highly disappointed. It was nothing like the game, and that's what disappointed alot of people. Now advent children looks very promising. I hope it's not a bummer like spirits within. But as a stand alone movie it is great, but with the final fantasy name, it could've been better.

i chose yes bc the technology has lead them to advent children. and besides, spirits within was a test for advent children. now they know what to do and what not to do. they were smart, and had the money to try it.
the movie itself, the plot was very lacking. not final fantasy like at all... besides having a cid character.

Yup it was Starship Troopers with a FF name lol. I really liked how beautiful it looked on DVD though, too bad it was so boring.

Not too bad of a movie, though definitely not in my top 50. I agree it had no real reason to use the FF name, though... it was much too sci-fi for that.

Yeah I liked Starship Troopers, I don't know why so many people bashed it  The second one must have had the license bought out by some low budget direct in LA or something it was horrible

I'm sorry 2 say this but the movie really was a let down 2 FF. Sure they had a guy named cid in it but it was too technolgially advanced for my liking. I wanted swords and magic. wot do u's all think?

When I first heard that FF would come out with a movie I thought it would feature some of the major FF characters from different games and they would be casting all kinds of spells and had the summons, etc.
