There is a flash of pain as you awaken, you are almost certain you should be dead, yet you can find a scratch on you. You sit in a strange metal compartment, you can feel motion and reckon you must be in a vehicle of some description. You wear a grey one - piece tunic that clings to you like a second skin, that bears the symbol of a wolf's head, the sign of Russ, on your breast. As you look around you notice there are others, some still unconscious, some not. Also with you in the compartment is a huge man, encased in armour, he bears several unusual looking objects and has a strange presence about him, you feel like you've seen him before.
As your journey moves on, the others awaken and begin to talk quietly amongst themselves, making introductions and such although everyone is avoiding the man in armour. Anyone who cares to look out of the windows notices that you are all flying above the clouds. After a long time the ship lands, one of the walls at the back opens downward to the ground and the armoured man shepherds you all out into the snowy mountainous landscape that is Asaheim. He leads you all infront of a large rock outcropping that resembles a snarling wolf's head, and as he stands on the podium on top of it he speaks to the group of bewildered fenrisians.
"You have all been chosen by me, or a wolf priest like me because we felt you might be worthy to join us, I emphasise the word 'might'. If you prove yourself: then power, glory and immortality, if you fail: death everlasting. These are the paths before you, you will either trumph or you will die, do you understand me?"
"Yes." most of the crowd replied in unison
"Good, you are now aspirants to the Chapter of the Space Wolves, without further adue allow me to introduce Hakon, he will teach you everything that you need to know and judge if you are worthy to live or die."
The wolf priest steps down and is replaced by another man in armour, he has a thin face covered in scars, wolflike eyes and fangs in his now contemptuous simile.
"Welcome to Russvik, as you have heard, I am Hakon, Sergeant Hakon, that is my title, you will use it or by Russ i will tear you apart like a small boy tormenting flies. Follow me, it's time to see you're all properly equipped."
With that Hakon steps down and leads the group towards a village nearby

Name: Shadow Nightshade
Physical Description: Shadow is slim and lithe, his eyes bright and keen. He seems feral, having longer than normal canines and golden eyes, much like a wolf's. By his loose and relaxed yet stable stance, Shadow could easily be an assassin, thief, or an archer. His slight tan suggests that he came from a more southern area than the average person. Shadow has golden blond hair that flows down below his shoulders a few inches. It is perfectly straight. He has an air of kindness about him, but it is laced with a cruelty that seems reserved for enemies of him and his allies. He is quite prone to smiling and each smile is warm and reassuring. He also seems to be about twenty years old.
Shadow looked at the man who kept talking and just silently acknowledged his presence. He smirked slightly and scanned the area, seeming to scout out who was useful and who wasn't. Very few were of any use to him. They were mostly scrawny men who could barely stand up. They would be the first to die. He growled almost inaudibly.

Astrid pushed through the men around her, to get a better look at the speaker. She noted that there were very few others that were female. Hmm....guess it's an honor. She noticed that most of the men where taller than her, and she smiled. I bet I can take most of these duffuses out single handedly. Jeeze. She noticed Shadow studying everyone. She stared back for a moment, then looked away. She pushed in front, so she would be second in line to go get equiped. One man tried to 'cut the line' in front of her, and he found himself face down on the ground.
A man started to get bothered by Shadow's smirk and cool glare. He began to accost Shadow. Not for long though. He was soon on the ground, a large chunk of his shoulder ripped to shreds from an obvious bite. Shadow stood back up, growling ferally, his mouth dripping blood, his eyes cold and ruthless. He spoke a statement in another language, his voice dripping with vengeful rage.
((OOC: I'm not sure about shadow not understanding the language, it makes things very difficult for me and if you're going to go with it he's gonna learn fenrisian very fast or he's gonna die. One other thing, if it wasnt clear already im going to be a GM in this RP i'll take care of the NPCs and guide the story, I may also assume the role of an aspirant if we don't get more PCs))
Hakon was surprised by shadow's violent outburst. "What in the name of Russ are you playing at boy!? You two, take him to the second longhouse and then come back here." Two random aspirants Hakon had pointed at came forward and carried away the man. "I'll not have you attacking each other, let me make this very clear, none of you will survive long if we have in-fighting, and if we have any more I will kill you myself."
"Now, I will give you each a knife and a spear, take care of them as you will not get replacements."
The knife is in a simple leather sheath, it is of extremely good craftsmanship and is razor sharp, the spear is also very strong and well crafted.
((I never said he didn't understand the language, he just doesn't speak it. He never really deemed it necessary at first, so he does little speaking and a lot of listening.))
As the two took him away, he just calmly let them. It was obvious in his glare at sergeant that he was only doing both as his culture and as his need dictated. The accosting man was beginning to get hostile and as such he was preventing an all out fight. So Shadow really didn't care that he was being taken from the group, then man still lived...for now.
Astrid took the knife and spear with care, looking them over carefully. Nice....sharp and seemingly strong. She watched Shadow get taken away, suddenly happy all she did to the one guy was drop him on his face. The guy rose to his feet and glared at her....she could feel his gaze burning into her back, but she ignored it. you're not worth the energy, or the failure. she felt like saying, but kept her mouth shut.
((they took away the injured man, not Shadow, sorry i should have made that more clear, and i see what you mean now shade, that's cool =D))
Hakon spoke again after giving everyone their weapon.
"In the unlikely event that any of you survive your time here you will be expected to return those weapons. If any of you die the survivors are expected to bring back their weapons, leave the body to the crows if you like but bring back those blades.
I am now going to assign you to your claws, This is your basic fighting unit, every one of you in a claw will train together, eat together, hunt together and most likely die together, when i call out your names step forward."
Hakon read through names grouping aspirants in fives eventually he called out five names including those of Shadow and Astrid.
"I haven't seen a woman here in a very long time, I hope you can survive these animal's lust, the last one didn't."
Hakon gestures you to move to the side as he finished calling names
"Look at your comrades. Remember each other's faces and know this, unless you are very, very special, which i doubt any of you are, half of you will be dead by the time you leave this place."

The wind outside the long hall is howling. The inside is as chill as an ice cave and the aspirants lay on pallets in their claws wishing for a fire. There was a fireplace at one end of the hall but no wood.
Shadow made a soft growl at the spear and tossed it back to the man, motioning to the daggers as if to ask if he could have a second one. He also scanned for a strong branch to make into a bow.
Astrid came up quietly when her name was called. She looked up at Hakon when he made the comment about her surviving. She locked eyes with him for a long moment, fire and determination deep in her eyes. Then stepped back, staying with her 'claw'. She studied the men in her group, carefully, taking in every face. She eyed Shadow the longest. Something about him didn't set right with her. Really, nobody here did, because it would be a fight to survive, but he struck a chord worse than anyone there. Why did I have to get stuck with HIM out of all the smelly here?she thought.
Hakon plucked the spear from the air as it was tossed at him. He took a step forward and his free fist flew in a near untraceable arc hitting Shadow squarely across the jaw with the force of a sledgehammer.
"Insolent pup, you don't realise what an honour it is just letting you be here, not to worry, you will realise or you can join your ancestors and bother them with your idiocy instead."
Shadow didn't even flinch and just glared at Hakon, his eyes already showing that he wasn't going to be subservient to anyone. He spat a few sentences, amounting to telling Hakon that he was an assassin, not a soldier. If they wanted someone dead, he would do it his way. He then walked away, his head held high, the dagger expertly held in his hand. He walked to a tree and took off a strong, supple branch and sat on a rock, starting to whittle it into a bow shape.
Astrid eyed Shadow as he walked over and sat on the rock.What a idiot. She walked over to him, and whacked him with one wing, not to hard. She didn't want to get him riled too much more than he was. She didn't know why the heck she decided to talk to him. She sure didn't like him. "Do you have a death wish or something? Because it seems to me, like you do."
He growled softly and shook his head, motioning to Hakon and spoke a couple words in a tone that was obviously hostile. Many people could guess that he chafes at authority. He then smiled softly at Astrid and motioned to her then at him, the meaning clear that he would have her back if push came to shove. Afterwards he resumed his carving.
Astrid just blinked at him. His second meaning had taken her by surprise. She then sighed, and turned her back on him. "You better have the whole claws' back. We're not going down....and you better hope you don't affect the claw by you contempt for authority. That man gave you the chance to get a special position, try to atleast tolerate him better." Like I'm trying to tolerate you, you moron.
