The walkthrough will be a long one I'm afraid, currently I'm playing back FF8 Disc 1. Finished the test mission and obtained the first SeeD mission to Timber, but I haven't go there yet - need to collect significant data about the card locations, monsters around Balamb, and the CC Group, besides preparing the walkthrough and guide.
Speaking of guide, should I make a guide for high level training players,low level training players or both?

You could think of a decent level guide, something around finishing the game with a 50-55 level... That´s my opinion ^^

Trust me, walkthroughs ain't easy as it look. We like gotta make sure every detail posted relevant and most of all reliable. Walkthrough readers would probably looking forward for more hints and secrets to enhance their gameplay, even simple but hard to find details like monster database.
I've just completed until the encounter of Squall,Zell and Selphie with the Forest Owls (Timber resistence faction). Currently collecting every single data about Balamb, monsters and their locations and everything. I also wanted to make sure something.
Question: I heard rumours that you can get the Magic Lamp (which contains Diablos) even though you missed talking to Cid before heading outside Balamb Garden after hearing his speech. They said he'll give it to you though you're exiting the screen. I played many times and I know that we should talk to Cid to get the magic lamp item, I've also tried avoiding talking to him (as an experiment once) and eventually I missed Diablos. Is this rumour true?

would be awesome if you could make a group specializing in making walkthrough/FAQ and you could name it funender(ofcourse it's your name in the maker)send it to different website and it's like an advertisement to this site as well...

I´m not really sure about that one, I´ve always got the lamp from Cid there. There is another way too, and that is by the Choco World mini-game...
