Has anyone ever played or heard of the Soul Calibur trilogy? I didn't see a post up for this, but if there is than my bad. I like how they incorporated actual weapon fighting styles into the game.
Yeah I played it.I like how the have popular characters to play with like link and those kind of characters. I have number two and I'm trying to get "Soul Calibur legends"
truth be told, there arent really any fighting styles (at least in sc 2) there are horizontal hit and vertical hits and then specials. the weapons are different but all the moves are pretty similar.
dont get me wrong i love the game, but for real different fighting styles, might i suggest virtua fighter 4. you can get it for like 5$ now prolly and its prolly one of the hardest games to master fighting wise. its got a lot of content to it as well.
but back to sc2, i hate to toot my own horn but im pretty good at it and thus i enjoy it a lot.

Oh when I wrote actual fighting styles, I meant there were actual people who did the character movement. Like for the weapon demonstrations. I really like Yunsungs.

It's not a trilogy...there's 4 games at the moment, although the first is Soulblade for PS1 which seriously rocks.
Anyway, they're on about SC2 but Wii is cheap anyway unlike PS3. The fact that Wii is also much more enjoyable then PS3 means that it's good. Btw, it's unfortunately coming out on all consoles so you can play it on the PS3 (that's the unfortunate part) or Xbox 360 instead.

"Lollipops don't make any smoke."
"No, that's just 'cause it's so lollied."

er.
i dont see why it coming out on the PS3 is unfortunate.
it sounds fairly good to those who own a PS3 and will give them something to play while they wait for any good games.
It's fortunate that it's coming out on other consoles as well because many people don't own a PS3 and can't own it because it's stupidly expensive. I also think it's unfortunately coming out on PS3 because I hate Sony.

If this is turning into a console debate then let me in! lol
In Australia the ps3 is the #1 selling console actually lol. Since March it has sold the most units every week so it's going super strong down here, but ever since the 90's this country has always been sony-ville.
Anyway as for Soul Calibur I only played it once but I'm not really into fighting games.
actoualy the series goes (soul edge, soul blade, soul calibur, soulcalibu 2, soulcalibur 3, now soul clibur 4 and soul calibur triligy
There wasn't a Soul Edge game. In fact the only games in the series are Soul Blade (original), Soul Calibur, Soul Calibur II, and Soul Calibur III. The Soul Calibur trilogy is just the three SC games and Soul Calibur IV is on it's way.
