SONIC on steroids!
*This thread does not support the use of drugs*
omg I love Sonic and now he's on PS3/Xbox 360
Look at him GO!
http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/770/770960/vids_1.html
But if you want my opinion (and I KNOW you do!) Sonic looks faster on my Gamecube in Sonic Adventure 2. But this is still probably early days in the PS3/360 development.

It's sad that they made normal Sonic look like Super Sonic

Wow that looks good, about time Sega updated from the "Dreamcast looking" graphics. Yeah he did seem like slow motion in that video, on the GC and Dreamcast he was flying. The gravity looked a bit weird too as if he was floating in space.

Maybe he's showingoff some new 'gravity' shoes? lol
I remember in the first Dreamcast game when sonic got the lightning shoes (I think) or something and i made him super fast.
That game was pretty cool, especially for it's time. I remember going into a casino a lot in there or something.
Sonic adventure 2 is a good game but I really don't like the Knuckles levels, where you have to climb all over the place to find emeralds.

Lol, the Knuckles levels. Ahh memories. They should try to make a real stand alone game out of that using a 1st person POV.

The black hedgehog was really cool. I was surprised at how long the game was. If you hook up the GC or DC to your computer monitor and play that game it looks so beautiful.

i was supprised that sega went multiconsole.
im even more supprised that Nintendo dident crack a deal with sega because if nintendo+sega exclusives would propel nintendo back into the competition.
its not bad that sega is multiconsole. but they could have made a mighty force if combined with nintendo.

Yeah there are adapters for all consoles, you can find them at Circuit City, Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc.

Actually going multiconsole was the best business decision they have ever made, but that was a great point that I never thought about, if Sega and Nintendo teamed up instead. The two old schoolers that started it all that would have made the GC sales increase by a lot. Especially since Nintendo and Sega have somewhat of a similar style with colorful characters.

true but they are verydiferent in their early days you could compare kid iccarus to the game that was imbedded into the sega master system's hardware but as time went on they drifted very far away sega remaind very much platform game orientated while nintendo spread out heaps DC was sega's first real shot at other types of games (to my knowlage any way) and nintendo had tried different types of games in the snes period so nintendo stayed about a generation ahead of sega (again to my knowlage) both sega and nintendo used similar style platform game styles (see sonic the hedgehog on the master system and mario bro's on the nes [tho i cant work out why they called it mario bro's when his green brother wasnt included in that perticular game]) they both developed their icons from them 2 charactors and for a long time sega was compared to nintendo as sony is compared to microsoft now and in those days people thought the sega consoles would continue forever. then when the DC and N64 and Playstation came out DC was neglected egventhough DC had some good titals out there they were overlooked because of the new power game system playstation came out. (oops off track) it is a shame that sega had to go multi system but as was said it was probably their best move they made since the mega drive and DC i guess they realised that their future as console developers was about at its end so i guess they decided to cut their losses and start on others systems
with any hope one day they may come back on the system development path but with the power console's that are being made at the moment it seems unlikely
(i hope i dont make a habit of long posts like this )
[Note] all my opinions and from what i have learnt so if some one notices i have errered pleese let me know

Yup I remember how different they were since I used to play SNES and Sega games all of the time and the rivalry they used to have. Especially how Sega used to say it had the high speed games like Sonic compared to SNES's slow gameplay such as Super Mario Kart. Too bad Sega quit having those funny commericials where a little baby, fish, or anything else they used in the commercial would say "......SEGA!"
However times have changed and two compainies that used to get compete against each other which have now been pushed out of the race joined up then it would have been a good story.

yeah it would give sony and microsoft a real run for their money i think the main problem with nintendo at the moment is that their spreading themselves too thin (accross console hand console the way they have) with psp out hand console is taken (except that all that seems to be happinin on psp is that their bringing out cheasy remakes and sequals) nintendo need to get back to basics again to get back up top. so its either hand consoles or consoles (personally i think that the only way their gonna get back on top is to aim for the console market. if they became dominate there again then people will look at their hand consoles more but again thats just my opinion

Yeah and I think that the main focus of the PSP is to play all of the PS2 games when your away from home. I am sure they will see that having exclusive hits will sell the PSP more, and it will come out on top soon which a price reduction. Besides I cannot even imagine the PSP dying or anything, that is something that will probably always be around.
