they got about 740 dollars, which sucks cause it gets taken from me not the shop, becuase the money gets taken out of my bonus so realistically he stole it from me

That sounds very unfair - let's hope they get the guy!
But losing money is better then losing your life, so...
... reminds me when someone broke into 'my' shop one night - the camera-content is short terms:
Idiot 1 enters the shop, looks around (no mask) and then spots the camera.
Idiot 1 disappears out of the shop and 3 hooded idiots enter the shop...
Eventually, Idiot 3, while searching for money, looks up directly into a camera - sucker!
I never heard if the Police got them, but the pictures were pretty good, so I hope they did!
