I keep on getting consoles & I like em for a bit, but I never really stick with their games for too long.
Computer games though...man...there's this one game I've been playing for well over a year and I'm still not bored with it. Can't say that (and that I play it on a semi-regular basis) about any console game.
So I think I might just stick with PC this round...but we'll see.

PC gaming is still very amazing.
oddly though to get the same hardware thats going to be in the 360 it will costs thousands of dollars worth of hardware. so in a sense its cheeper to get a 360 than upgrade your computer.
without a doubt though, the PC does have the best game variety of them all.

I disagree Thor.
Pc games have the worst variety. Sports games aside from Ea Sports title are lacking.
Fighting games aside from fighting mini-games like the one in Sid Meier's Pirates are also lacking.
Turn based strategy rpg games are also lacking. Aside from Rotk and Civilization and other Civ type games, I hardly know any other turn based strats for the Pc.
Console rpgs are also a rarity. I would certainly want to play a moddable FF game. Too bad there's only 7 and 8 on the pc and it's FF. We need more variety besides the user made games from RPG maker and other game makers
Luckily all these can be solve via emulation except for the current gen consoles.

the PS2 is almost at a state of good emulation.
the xbox emulator is crap though.
i got a GC emulator, and i have yet to test it.
but thats all beside the point.
Turn baised games still exist. but they are dieing as many people are going for the Real time RPG's that have pausable features (thus making them fast paced, turn baised games)
i was never really a fan of turn baised games much. they were 'ok' and had their moments of stratagy as they gave you more time to think and plan.
fighting games. yah i cant think of a single one for hte PC (then again i wouldent buy it anyway, im not a big fighting fan)
come to think of it im not a big sports fan either.
i guess since i never play those categories of games the variety of games on the PC is good for me.

the thing is. the graphics were good. and it was on a 480i TV.
i HAVE to see the game at 720p because its about 3x the resolution of 480i.
so really the displays are about 1/3 as good...
frankly if the PS3 or Revolution Demo units are done on 480i TV's as well people are going to say "They all look the same!!!"
then again if they do that then it would be kinda mean to have the 360 on a 480i TV and the competing consoles on HDTV's.
on a side note:
Does anyone know if sony is going to enforce any kind of gaming standard on their console? for instance microsoft is Enforcing Xbox Live enabled , 5.1 surround sound, and 720p for all of their games.
i think sony is going to go with "The console can put out those resolutions, but you developers can use whatever you want". then again if sony ENFORCES 1080p on every game that would definately make getting a 1080p TV worthwile (hell it might even convince me to buy one) ofcourse lower resoultions would still be supported (If the PS3 only worked on 1080p TV's i would have to place Sony in the axis of pure evil then.)
[edit] OH and another comment. after seeing what the 360 can output. i can imagine the KZ2 demo coming true on the 360 as well. since the PS3 is slightly more powerful than the 360 i can see the KZ2 demo coming true as well (but after 2 or 3 years into launch)
