So do you think the psp will be a huge success?
I think that it may become more popular if they lowered the price. Although I can afford it I can buy other things for that same price that may more entertaining

You know things like PSP's just arnt for people like us fun. We work hard when we work and we usually put in long days, face it we dont have time for a lil hand held. If we want to take the time to play a game or watch a movie we are usually home or have time to our selves then why not use a computer or DVD player that produces much better quality of game play and movie's then that lil PSP would any day. I mean for 300$... well hell dude u know what kinda vid card that would buy i built my computer for 560$ and it pwnts, so yeah thers my thoughts on hand helds in the way of gameing, now for storage and orginasation that is a different story, that might work for people like us, i dont know cuz i dont have one lol maybe one day ^_^

Yeah you are right man, I never even bought a handheld before, however the only reason I was considering a PSP is because it is the first handheld that actually looks really cool and not some kid's toy, and the main reason is because I hate having to wait in lines for haircuts, or car tune ups, etc. and would like something to kill that one hour or more wait.

I will be buying a PSP when it is released here. I catch the bus every day to uni and back, which is over an hour and a half in total every day where I just sit and stare out the window...So I'm looking forward to getting one.
Like Funender said, I think it will be successful with a lower price. It seems like a ps2 with less memory, and the games list is similar to a ps2. Most people probably wont get it if its too similar to the ps2.

I read that Midnight club 3 takes 60 seconds to load...
The only game I've ever really been pissed off with for loading times is Smackdown 2! Know your role...When you are in season mode, skipping through the backstage scenes, matches, weekly shows, you had to wait forever for each thing to load, then again for the menu to load back up.

Yeah and I think that games will speed up later on, since I remember when the PSX came out the games (especially racing games) took about 2 minutes to load each map

Yeah the loading times have always been good for FF games, however I dont think it is entirely the system's fault, it is the way the developers wrote the data to the disc that allows the laser to quickly read the data on the disc without having to scan the whole CD/DVD.

Well eaither way the PSP is going to have to drop considerly in price befor alot of people consider it as a option. As for laod times thats expected for a hand held thats not re loaded like a Gameboy SP or any others alot that line. You know come to think of it the load times for the psx FF games were quite good for the amount of gameing that was on them
