SLI is the big thing now
I heard about this a while back but everyone is talking about it now. SLI mode allows you to connect two PCIE graphics cards together for the best performance. I even heard a rumor where two cheap SLI compatiable Geforce 6600 cards could run every game at max settings. I guess next there will be quad core CPUs next since there is even a quad mode in SLI for graphics cards now, you can never be updated

I seen that in PC Authority about 2 months back, i never knew it could do that, improving the performance. It looked kinda cool with the huge style fan on it, but i never actually read the contents for it, by looking at it i thought it had the power of 2 Graphics card, so i didnt bother reading it, and turned the next page

Yeah same exact thing happened to me. I figured it would cost a ton of money so I just skimmed through it and forgot about it. However now that I see you could use 2 or more graphics cards that would cost the same as having one powerful card, I choose SLI Plus every online game I play all I hear is "yeah I got this SLI setup blah blah" it is really the big thing now.

Whoa 7 slots, but how come there three different sizes ?
just had to find the definition of PCI Express, So why wont they just use PCI Express, sorry if i got the wrong defintion but im still not clear on how it works, all i read is that it improves the Cards performance alot.
and one more thing what is that huge metal pole going through one side to the other ?

i had a picture of this guy who hooked up 4 GeForce 7800's to his computer. (unfortunately SLI only supports 2 in games...)
then i told him about the dualcore 7800's and he * his pants. (with Dualcore Videocards you can have 4 videocards working together via SLI and still work in games.)
thast 8 graphics cards in one PC.
i then showed him the AMD FX60 which is the Dualcore version of the FX line. and you can get a dualsocket motherboard and put two of those badboys in there.
so with 4 processors, 8 videocards, and then around 8GB of ram we can build today, i think it might be one of the first desktop computers that will last for more than 2 years before we have to turn down the settings in our games.
unfortunately the power consumption of that machiene would kill your powerbill.
