Fast recap. Im in broadcasting. Im soooo close to graduating lol. My girlfriend is also in the broadcasting department with me, but... a year behind. That being said it goes without saying that I would help her out on some projects. This is her TV2 final project focusing on a friend of hers. It came out great and I just wanted to to show you guys. She doesnt know I'm showing it off but shed be blown away by more views and the such im sure.

Well it was longer, and there was totally more but the professor had her cut it down to as close to 3 min as shoe could. just part of the project unfortunately.
I would very much like to see the long version if she kept it. I felt it was a little rushed and I couldn't quite make out what was it was that she was trying to get across.
Overall I liked how it was laid out and the way the fades and cuts were added. The overlays, don't think that is the right word, of Kerri's shots were awesome, especially since they weren't static and the camera at least panned around.
I'm sure my word usage is not correct but that is from my somewhat knowledge of editing... Very very little knowledge.

Well they were static images and we just put "moves" on them. im pretty sure we at talking about the same thing. Generally speaking, you always want a static image to move ever so slightly, cause otherwise the viewer is so used to movement now days with tv and movies, that if you are watching something and it doesnt move at all, your brain gets bored.

Haha I can understand that. I just find it makes it more dynamic. There is a time for static images, though not in a documentary.
I like images though so I don't have an issue if they don't move.
I should be commenting on the video instead of conversing with you or at least doing both. That way if you're not relaying any of the compliments back to your gf, she'll know that someone random enjoyed her doc!
