Skate
Well.. since i finally got a ps3 ive been browsing the ps store and looking at all the demos like grid and the new bad company one and so on... and i remmeber hearing/ seeing skate and thinking "meh, its just another skateing game. couldnt be better than tony hawk 2 (after that game the series went downhill... and not in a good way)
but man. this game is so much freaking fun. i havent been on a real skateboard in like 10 years but i picked one up over the weekend randomly at a local garage sale for $6 so ill prolly go out tonight and mess around. lol
but back to the game. the controls are great. its pretty hard just like the real thing. Ill get the game once i can find it in a gamestop for a good price. great thing about the demo is, all the tricks are avalible from the start, its all a matter of your skill. the demo only gives you a half hour but man, best skaing half hour in a game ever. if youhave the means check it out.

I played the demo and its a very good Skateboard game. I quite liked the realism compared to Tony Hawks. I think there making a new one for this Christmas though which should have some of the tricks missed in the first one. For instance I dont think you can do the handstands or whatever there called at the top of the skate ramps.

I used to play allot of Tony Hawk game in the past, and followed the series until 'American Wasteland(s)' - the next version lacked soo many features that I decided not to continue with it.
But for what this thread is really about; Skate!
A game which I, at first, considered to be some cheap TH-copy - but when I got the chance of downloading the demo, I actually realized how much different and improved the system was from Tony Hawk. I don't know if I'll get the game once it get's cheaper, but looking at the controls I might not bother the effort of learning (read: mastering) the system to fully enjoy the game. But we'll see in the future - I might change my mind

| That may just be because you are the head of the Funender Garden, and I played 2 professor characters, so you seem like my boss now permanently in my mind. XD |
