im a hardcore FPS gamer.
and yet i find myself addicted to The Sims 2
i even got all the expansions. they really make the whole game better (soooo many more choices to do)
its great because im a real hit with the ladies as i know tons of mods, cheats, and skins for the game.
a hot girl even asked if i would install a nudey patch on her copy of the sims. (growl!! ) yep. being a Computer Nerd doesnt get much better than the sims.

AHAHHA i was just playing the sims and this is what happened.
i had the mod See Them 2
its a mod that give me Debugging (and various other mods) to the game.
so i can jump right into the action howfarever i want (i use this as i cant get the cheat command window to work. its funner this way. with this im poor, but i have unlimited power)
so i go off to my 8 hour job in the game.. and immediately after i leave a burgular shows up. i say "OH *" as he is alone, in my house for 8 hours of stealing stuff. and i dident buy a burgular alarm.
well, knowing i had "See Them 2" installed i shift-clicked the burgular and the pressed "Make Selectable Character"
i then shift-clicked him again and gave him a cell phone.
but i was going too slow, by now one of my (out of like 13) girlfriends had came over (uninvited i might add, it happens so much i used to have 20 girlfriends.. then they caught me cheating >.<)
I then forced the burgular to call teh police on his new cellphone. while the police were taking their sweet time i made the burgular "Unselectable" again.
the poliece tackled that guy. he got beaten up like crazy and hauled off to jail.
moral of the story: dont steal from a modders house.

heck i bet i could set him on fire..
if you have the SIMS2 get the mod i linked to above. its awesome (yah it CAN remove the blurr, but then its just naked dolls.) it also allows you to place items in 45* angles. and gives you debugging controlls (like i mentioned above)
its awesome when you command an NPC. call over the fire department, then make him controllable. and have a Partah with the Firemen! (invite the gardener and the poliece woman as well for bonus fun!)
OR
controll the Robber, wait till you get home, then put him in your own Hand Crafted prision.

I have them both and there amazing! I wish my computer was a little faster to process the big parties. When alot of people are over it gets a little slow....

only the load times annoy me.
hell with the latest expansion packs, it allows for me to see my whole block of houses even when im only at one house. its freaking sweet.
im REALLY supprised that it doesnt use more memory.

As far as all The Sims games released. Only get the ones for the PC except Sims: Bustin Out for the GBA (the rest of the non-PC are just horrible compared to the PC version)
You might wonder why it is horrible. Well that's because The Sims as a game relies alot on fan made mods and items and the consoles don't have that luxury.
Hell I wouldn't even recommend getting the pc versions when you don't have the net because you're losing more than 50% of the actual potential of the game

I agree...I love downloading Sims additions. Eyes, hair, clothing, objects. No mods though...mods are for cheaters
