There's a huge advantage for low level characters to complete the sick challenges actually, it works like this:
low level characters>low level monsters>junction strong spells and devour and use pump up items like str ups>get 255 stats for all>own monsters and bosses like they never know Tetsuya Nomura created them

I agree with you there, and it's not like the monsters level up when you do, it's like they level up twice when you level up once.
I am trying to beat it with Squall level 7 (just like Nerthul is doing) it's kinda hard, because I have to kill Squall sometimes in battle so he doesn't get any exp lol.

Lol, yeah..kinda hard to keep some of the characters from gaining EXP. Worst of all, when you're after rare items like Energy Crystal (gotta mug Elnoyle high level or choose to card low levels and collect 9 of them). And then...Odin, yeah the great GF...had to show up and kaboom, tonnes of EXP gained. 
So, how did you find low level characters after using Squall at level 7?

I never thought of that before... and Odin <.< it seems that Squall gonna die a lot this time lol, and not just him -_- but at least the others still have like 500 exp till they level up, Squall only has 73 lol(I am still in the beginning by the way).
It's kinda the same so far, but maybe when I go farther in the game it will become easier, I still haven't met Rinoa, yep in the beginning. And it's really really really slow XD.

Yeah, using attack and cure is enough
When the levels are low, it’s easier to beat the game without using GF, I can do it, but it’s too late, I already used Shiva lol.
It’s more fun this way… and I spent all that time leveling up  .

Should I add more sick challengers like defeating bosses with no spells junctioned onto all characters' stats? 
But I haven't seen anyone mentioning anything about completing FFVIII within a certain period of time...like FFIX's challenge to get Steiner's Excalibur II sword.

I got to the end of Disc 1 and never played the game again... I should keep with it, I still have 0 exp with my main party. (Squall, Zell and Selphie)
Running away and using the Card command will save your life. Also, try drawing at least once every battle, since junctioning is the only way of finishing the game this way lol.
GFs won´t help much unfortunately, they won´t level up either <.<

I've done #5. Its not that hard to do. Well, actually, what am i saying, it was a *. I didn't know of the existance of this list when i did it, but, wow. I had to be revived by phoenix about 4 times, so i guess im sorta lucky. I did # 10 for every player. Just for the record, ff8 is def my favorite of the series. I can't stop playing it. Right now im in my first trip to deling, all characters at lvl 30 +, 100 tornadoes on everybody's strength junction, 100 curagas on everybody's hp junction. Everything else is random; either thundagas, blizzagas, death, pain, regen or meltdown. I hope you're impressed. Also, iv never played without having lionheart before going into space. And every time i've played, i always kill most bosses within 5 hits. I know im a freak. I've come to terms with it.
