Should I lvl them up ?

I am in a place called "Sochen cave palace" going to Archades, everyones lvl is 28 and I have to fight Ahriman... it's strong and I am using the Mist to beat that thing. so do you think I should lvl them up and there is no way I can beat that thing with those lvls ?
And if you have any advice for me about how to beat that thing please tell me.
