Galuf is a good character, I like him, but I think without his death the story would have been an idiotic happily ever after; his death made the story more thrilling. However; I am not saying that his death was the only good part of the story.
I vote yes  , for the sake of the story.

i think he should of lived and that krile should'v fought exdeath and died in stead, i'm not very found of krile, probly because i have always like meele carecthers better and well krile was more of a mage type carecter while galuf was more of a worrior ( i liked him as a monk )
