shadow of the colossus
i havent gotten the game yet, but ive been reading up on it. here is some in depth looks at it, including talk about ICO the makers previous game that has the same style (which i did enjoy). maybe this will send others out to buy the game as i soon will.

collosos is just what the name implies. huge.
I've still not figured out if the Colossus are good or evil, from everthing i've read it doesn't say. also, got a killer poster from this months Game Informer with the Shadow of the Colossus. for just 10 bucks a year, its one of the best magz i've subscribed to.

I just read some reviews and it seems like a great game. In fact I'm just about sold now, I'll probably be getting this game

well, i know this is a dead topic buuuuut i finally got the game and beat it and might i just say, its fantastic. the controls are soemthing to get used to but it didnt bother me too much. the graphics are breathtaking and the story is simple yet oh so good. and then ending, my god the ending.
not to mention the game has replayability which is good bc if you are flying through the game its only about 7 hours. you get time attack mode and hard mode (and then hard time attack mode of course). by doing time attack mode you can activate in game "cheats" (aka abilities) to make things more fun.
its really an epic adventure (and for only $39.99)

it really seemed like the only innovative game i've seen come out for the PS2 in awhile.
and innovative games were always the best games on the PS2 when i had one.
so if i still had my PS2 i would have definately bought this game. as it even looked cool to me. i guess my only hope is that it goes to the Xbox360 as well.
if not i guess i can always just read reviews *sigh*

Seeying as Sony actually made the game I'd say that Saddam Hussain has a better chance of ruling Iraq again than this game going on Xbox.

yeah, there are some hints that it is a direct sequal to ICO actually, but nothing solid enough to make it for sure. i do believe the last "cheat" you can earn is that you get the qweens sword (the sword you use to fight the final boss in ICO) its gonna be rough to get to thou.
