what's the big deal its two groups of people fighting over a ball of some sort
Pretty much. I don't understand why people like it so much either. I actually sat down and watched an entire football match (soccer for Americans) and I just couldn't understand why the people in the audience were cheering so much. It's just men kicking a ball between some sticks. If you enjoy playing sports and you were actually playing I could understand but not people watching other people play sports. It's just dull...
"I don't think you're supposed to smoke during class."
"This isn't a cigarette. It's just a lollipop."
"Lollipops don't make any smoke."
"No, that's just 'cause it's so lollied."

I feel offended actually when some people say women and shopping… long hours of shopping is a pain for me, it gives me a headache. But to be honest when I really need something important I don’t mind looking for it for hours and hours, like an important gift to someone or something like this.
Anyways; I am really into sports
Especially soccer, I don’t play it but I am a huge fan of it! Thankfully my throat is still in its place
And you have to be a fan or have passion for this game to understand why people love it
I played handball back in secondary school.
I sometimes play basketball with my friends but haven’t done that in ages to be truthful.
In my daily routine I go jogging and swimming sometimes, but the swimming thing haven’t been done since the day it was warm enough to do it. I keep up with the jogging though.
Not all women shop? And not all men just get into sports. I'd be one of the women that hates to shop. My father loves to shop. And we both love to watch sports. So... Eh. Stereotypes.
Well, hockey involves short, violent bursts of activity, so players tend to tire more. Baseball involves standing around most of the time, doing nothing..... Which means that to impress people it has to be on more often.

...that's why I like hockey, people don't get tired that easily where as in soccer, you see people walking aroung most of the time, that's why I quit playing...
You can’t say that people don’t get tired easily in soccer matches. There are 10 players, beside the goalkeeper, that have to share about 8800 m² size of area, how can they not move? . Especially when the plan doesn’t give the players any time to breath. And when you think about it; soccer is the only sport where you don’t get to use your hands or arms, the goalkeeper in it actually means something.
...it's not that they're not moving, it's that they're not running, The pros do, but I quit because when you play as a minor, the forwards are the laziest players on the team...
I disagree with you a bit there flare, maybe in like minor's home leagues or competitive leagues there lazy but i used to play soccer during recess in sixth grade and the laziest were the defence players. Maybe its because our offence was pretty good or something but i find that when you wanted to take a break you would stay back and be defence instead of offence cuz during our games the offence were always running and trying to score and some of them also defended the goal a bit so yeah, i find that in games for fun ( no leauges) defence is the laziest. in leagues you cant switch position ( i think) so maybe there lazy cuz they are tire? i dont know but yeah.
and i also agree to baseball being boring to watch but playing baseball is a different story i love to play baseball ( altho i suck and got rly short attention span and get confused quick) and to hockey i find it not that bad to watch and i also love playing hockey. Foot ball ( american version) i find rly not interesting at all and soccer ( europeen foot ball( i think its europeen not sure)) i find extrely fun to play altho you use alot of energy when playing and get tired quick.
...of course the defence in recess soccer are supposed to be the resting place because nobody cares that much about how many goals they let in...it's how many they score...anyways, to be a forward, you need to be able to backcheck and basically run most of the field...same with pinching defencemen...
You are talking about elementary schools’ soccer matches; you do realize the real matches are a completely different thing right? No player can go back to defense just because he is tired and wants to rest . Besides that not all players are able to run a distance that long to go back in defense and then return to their position, especially when you consider the time of the game, few of them only who actually are able to do it, that’s if they are allowed to do it in the first place.
My point is; worldly adult matches are a total different matter, so it’s not fair to compare it to kids’ games.

Football is football, it's worldly, the world's greatest game, not only European, but to Americans it’s called "soccer" since their football is a different thing… they just stole the name from the rest of the world and tried changing the whole concept of football lol
