There is a flash of light on the Red horizon, glimmering white streaks that contrast against the sinking sun. The trail streaks across the sky and a sound comparable to a supersonic jet rattles the air in Tartarus. The sight was not entirely uncommon, but had become less and less common as of late.

The old General watched with a scowl "New Warriors, coming from their strange lands. The dark Goddess wont allow us a moments rest" The hulking man turned around to his captain of the guard and his armor clinked and shimmered in the red light as he did so "Captain Mike, take a contingent of five fighters and investigate. Find out whether this new warrior is friend or foe, and if they be foe... Take care of them before our enemies find them."
Ancani Tribe (norther forest)
A scout came and found the chief "Mistress Cassandra! A new star has fallen from the Goddess!" The slender girl was wolf-like in nature and her great senses made her an incomparable scout. No doubt she had probably seen the star before anyone even suspected to be looking and brought this news to her Mistress now.

Cassandra was standing at the edge of the training arena, which was a short distance away from the homes of the tribe members. The training arena was were all training and practicing was to take place, and Cassandra was watching a sparing match between two of her warriors, who both had the potential to take her place, should something happen to her. She heard the young girl coming, and turned to her. She listened intently,her face very interested. "Hmmm...so someone new has found their way here, unwillingly. Please gather 2 more scouts, and find the new arrival, and find out where they stand, and what they are. We don't want them to fall into the wrong hands. Meet me on the skirts of this forest in 10 minutes. I plan to go with you. I would like to see somethings for myself."
Mike and his party had been walking for quite awhile so they decided to take a 10 minute break and talk for a bit. "what do we do when we find this warrior?" said
mike's friend "we are to recruit him if he is a friend or take care of him if he is our foe, eiother way we have to find out first."
Mike was feeling a little worried because the same thing had happened to him and now he was in the same situation only from the other side.
One of Mikes men was Barkov the Centaur, He came through the brush and bowed with one arm crossed over his chest in the fashion of the Luxengrad army. "Captain, while scouting ahead we have determined that the new warrior is close to the northern woods. We expect the Ancani will be searching for them as well. It is likely they will reach the place before us. I estimate about a day's march before we reach the site."
"Yes Mistress" The young girl replied and then ran off to do her bidding. She returned about ten minutes later and the agreed spot, with her were Arin a black wolf like man, and Aria a Lynx-girl. Both were skilled fighters and they all three bowed to their Mistress upon arrival.

"Okay then, men we must press on as fast as we can and get there before the ancini do that is our mission. Now let's get a move on."
Mike rallied his party and they set off running as fast as possible to the northern woods.
Cassandra arrived at the agreed spot about the time they did, and smiled at them. She then turned to the girl who had given her the news about the new arrival. "Please lead the way. I will follow behind you, and Arin and Aria can take the rear."
Arkenos was the first to hit the ground of the new warriors making a huge crater when he landed he looked around as his suits hudd came to life "Where the heck am I," he said surveying the bleak and desolate land scape.
Tasha landed second, in the trees by Arkenos, her crater smaller but just as significant. She got up and read her vitals. All was well with her so she picked up her weapons and strapped the rifle to her back while wielding the SMG. She engaged her Stealth Matrix and became almost completely invisible. Where am I?
(New Arrivals)
Hoshi landed with the others, her black robe was tattered but surprisingly not from the trip. She saw others land with her but the blinding light caused her to lose sight of one of them... She was baffled as to what had happened. Last thing she knew, her squad was fighting for their lives, and now she found herself in a strange area and an enormous gate lie open before her with sculpted human bodies frozen in their pitiful attempts to escape. As she got over the shock she managed to stand up. She was about to call out to her companion when suddenly it seemed as if all the light was taken from the area.
All light faded and the place was filled with a strange purple glow. Seemingly forming from smoke a figure appeared. The figure took the form of an enormous woman who smiled menacingly. A booming voice called out "Welcome... to Tartarus"

The men roused themselves and in a matter of minutes they were on the road again. Even in Winter the weather was unpredictable in Tartarus. Some places it would be cold and snowing, and in others it would be hot and arid due to the random volcanoes that litter the countryside.

"As you wish Mistress" The wolf girl's ears turned and she darted off at animal speed. Arin and Aria took up places behind Cassandra in order to watch the terrain. The scout who was called Sarin moved at such incredible speed that she often stopped to allow the group to catch up. They padded through the snow swiftly and quietly for about a couple of hours in this manner when Arin, who wasn't built for long distance running, began showing signs of fatigue and lagging behind.

Cassandra did her best to keep up to the scout girl leading the way, keeping her senses open for any signs of the new arrivals. She looked back every now and then, and she could see that Arin was beginning to tire, but she knew that they could not afford to rest for very long. So, during one of the moments when Sarin stopped, and waited for the others to catch up, Cassandra asked her question. "How long do you think we have, exactly? Arin is beginning to tire some." she knew she probably didn't need to add that they couldn't afford resting.
Tasha looked around and then saw a path out of the clearing, so she swiftly and silently ran along it to try and figure out where she was and why she was here. Her tail swished from side to side as she ran, her heart thumping against her chest. Gotta get back. My squad needs me. If i don't, then they will die.
"okay men we must hurry to the forest but we must stay alert one wrong move and we risk straying into the volcanic area and we do not want any more delays if we want to get to our destination before the ancini."
They were making good progress but now they had to be careful of the volcanoes that were around them
Tasha reached the tree line and leapt up onto a branch, hiding in the leaves as her stealth matrix faded. It would take some time to recharge but she would be content to hide until then.

Hoshi was surprised but not frightened. She had fought many powerful spiritual beings before, also this one didn't seem like it was attacking or it would have done so by now. So she decided to wait and see what would become of their meeting.
"I am Eris" declared the dark Goddess "The ruler of Tartarus. I have brought you here for my own amusement. You see, it gets boring being all powerful when you have no one to rule over." She gave that dark smile again "Thats where you come in my pets." She paused and continued "Each of you have great problems in your own worlds and even as we speak your friends are probably dieing." She had a strange air od satisfaction in her voice at saying this "You each have things you need, and things you want. Only one of you will have the chance to claim it. One wish will be given to the champion who conquers my Tartarus, Perhaps you will wish to be returned home." She let out a wicked laugh at the very thought.

The men followed, with the Centaur leading the way. The small group was tiring quickly but were determined to carry out their orders. The sun began to sink further behind the horizon, it was almost night. Night on Tartarus could be more treacherous than the day sometimes.

Sarin replied "I believe the star arrived at the lost gateway." The lost gateway was surrounded in legend by all who dwell in Tartarus. Some believed it was the actual gate to hell, other rumors said that it was the gates to Eris's true realm, where she had her castle, others still prophecy about a hero who would come from the gates to deliver Tartarus from its fate. The gate stood by itself near the roots of a great mountain but didn't connect to anything. The lost gate was well known to everyone in Tartarus. "I think if we run we could be there in a matter of one hour"
